Die Erhöhung der Ausbeute ist wohl darauf zurückzuführen, daß der Wasserdampf bei seiner Einwirkung unter Druck bei den in Frage kommenden höheren Temperaturen verseifend wirkt und aus den in den Rückständen enthaltenen Kalkseifen, die durch die gewöhnlichen Lösungsmittel nicht extrahiert werden können, Fettstoffe in Freiheit setzt.
