Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum mehrfarbigen Lackieren der Längsflächen von mehrkantigen oder runden Bleistiften, die auch zum' Bemustern der Bleistifte verwendet werden kann. An Stelle des bisherigen, im Polierstock erfolgenden Farbauftrages oder des bekannten, auf eine Reihe von Bleistiften gelegten Schablonenbleches werden nach der Erfindung ständig umlaufende Stahlbänder zur Führung der Bleistifte und zur Abdeckung der nicht zu bespritzenden Seitenflächen benutzt. Die Vorschubbewegung der Bleistifte ist dabei vorzugsweise senkrecht, und der Antrieb der Abdeckbänder erfolgt durch die Vorschubbewegung der in ununterbrochener Reihenfolge nach unten wandernden Bleistifte selbst. Werden die Abdeckbänder als Schablonen ausgebildet, so kann auch eine Musterung der Stifte erfolgen.
