Description

Solid or hollow rope for electrical power transmission with protection against Snow and ice load due to heating with electric current The main patent 456 694 relates to an overhead cable in which an auxiliary conductor is embedded in the cable as a heating conductor is. According to the main patent, this auxiliary conductor can be formed by a wire in the rope which is arranged isolated from the other wires. The heater should be in this Trap by a special stream that is not identical to the operating stream, take place. However, it has proven to be useful, in certain cases the heating can also be carried out directly by the operating current. Since the through the overhead line Normally transmitted power only results in currents that do not cause significant heating cause of the rope, the heat conductor cross-section must be used to achieve this purpose be chosen so that the entire power to be transmitted in the heating conductor is such Current density shows that effective heating of the conductor occurs. According to the present Invention this is achieved in that the rope by insulating intermediate layers into individual parallel lines, which z. B. assemble from the individual rope layers, is divided. Of course, only part of the total cross-section is used during the heating season of the rope used to transmit the power.
