Process for the preparation of reaction products of cyanalnide with
Salts of higher aliphatic amines In patent specification 5o6 282 is a process
described, which allows, by the action of 1 to 1.2 NIol. Cvanamid on amine salts
to get to the corresponding guanidine derivatives.
As you continued to study this reaction, it turned out
that it is of significant influence on the guanvlation of amine salts, in as much as possible
concentrated solutions to work, expediently in alcoholic solution. With hard
Soluble amine salts encounter difficulties in the process. because too large quantities
Solvents were necessary to stay in optimal concentrations.

G4 g Diisoamyjguanidinbramat. (las bei ioy = unter Gasentwicklung filzt. It has now been found that it is not necessary at all. to bring the amine salts into solution from the outset. A much smaller amount of solvent is sufficient. than would be necessary to dissolve the salt even in the warmth. On the one hand, the concentrated C_vaitamid solution acts as a solvent, which is why an excess of Cvanamid can be advantageous. on the other hand, the gtianidilide derivatives tend to be more easily soluble in the @@ '; irine than the aniine salts, so that in conclusion: (after et «-a ;; - up to 16 hours warm all the amine salt to ioo3)
Guanidiii is convicted.
