Es sind Verfahren zur Herstellung von Hochglanzschliffen und Lackierungen bekannt, bei welchen die alte Farb- oder Lackschicht an ihrer Oberfläche durch ein Lösungsmittel aufgeweicht, dann mit einem breiten Pinsel verstrichen und nach Eintritt des gewünschten Effektes mit Wasser abgewaschen wird, um dadurch die Einwirkung des Lösungsmittels zu beenden. Diese bekannten Verfahren weisen aber Mängel auf, die darin bestehen, daG der Grundanstrich durch das Lösungsmittel beschädigt werden kann und auf der Oberfläche sitzender Staub und Schmutz in die durch das Lösungsmittel aufgeweichte Schicht eindringt und mit verstrichen wird, so daß weißlackierte Flächen dann grau aussehen. Um eine farbreine Oberfläche zu erhalten, muß letztere auch vor ihrer Behandlung von Staub o. dgl.
