Durch die mit der Wagendeichsel fest verbundene hölzerne Sprengwaage gehen die vier senkrechten Strangbolzen" 11, 12, 13 und 14, woran die Zugstränge für ein Doppelgespann befestigt werden. Hierauf dreht man mit Hülfe der oberen gekerbte'n Scheiben e die Strangbolzen 11 und 13 rechts und 12 und 14 links um, so dafs sich die Enden der Stränge auf die Bolzen aufrollen. Man rollt so lange auf, bis die Stränge genügend fest angezogen sind, und da die mit den Bolzen fest verbundenen Sperr- bezw. Zahnräder 11, 12,■ 13 und 14 an den unteren Enden sich befinden und die durch Spiralfedern gesicherten Sperrriegel 6, 7, 8 und 9 eine Abwickelung verhindern, so ist die Befestigung der Zugstränge dann eine vollständige.
