F. ERLER in LEIPZIG. Verfahren zur Herstellung galonirter Pelzwaaren ohne Naht.F. ERLER in LEIPZIG. Process for the production of galonized fur goods without seam.
Patentirt im Deutschen Reiche vom 4. Juli 1877 ab.Patented in the German Empire on July 4, 1877.
It is known to every person skilled in the art that the under or ground hair, e.g. B. in all fox species the lower back, as well as in bearskins, and on the tails of most of them Fur animals is very dense and appears matted, so that around the fur there is something more pleasing To give respect, to achieve a greater durability of the hair and with expensive Fur types, as: blue, silver and black fox ticks to enable a cheaper production price by saving material, the Galonniren has been used for centuries. The procedure so far has been as follows: That Well-stretched or stretched fur will be in depending on the length and density of the hair Strips 3–10 mm wide (so-called galonnas) cut. Taking into account the drawing, The color and roughness of the hair are distributed or sorted in these galons as the item to be made requires it and by sewing tape in accordingly Width between the galons reunited into a whole. This sewing is a very time-consuming work, can only be entrusted to experienced seamstresses and it is the latter with Wholesalers are rarely available in sufficient numbers. Since now mainly with Processing lower and cheaper types of fur, the sewing wages are significantly more expensive than the material ■ comes to stand on fur, so this led the inventor to the experiment, the leather strips or to attach galons to the fabric with an adhesive.
After long, multiple, and costly experiments he found that only by means of a carefully prepared solution of rubber could a thoroughly firm bond of the leather with the material, resisting all the influences of weathering and even acids and alkalis, be made possible. The solution is prepared from the best cleaned and crushed rubber, which is poured with the best cleaned gasoline in iron, hermetically sealable vessels, and dissolves in a short time without the use of heat. The first preparation of the material is carried out in the following way: The material is spread out on a very even, correspondingly large board of strong wood without many pores, preferably maple wood, the solution is applied as evenly as possible with a tight brush and with a roller gently guided over it evenly distributed. After the gasoline has evaporated, the material appears dry, and this coating is now repeated four or five times. Exactly in the same way the previously well stretched or tensioned skins, or their parts on the leather side, are treated; painting two or three times is sufficient here, as the leather does not absorb the solution as much as the fabric. The temperature of the room in which this work is carried out must not exceed 15 0 R. Otherwise the gasoline will evaporate too quickly and this makes it difficult to paint evenly. It is particularly noteworthy that neither fabric nor leather may be folded or piled up with the painted surfaces facing inwards during or after drying; for the painted surfaces stick together in a short time without pressure, even if they appear dry, in such a way that they cannot be separated again. After the petrol has evaporated, each coat of paint leaves a membrane of pure rubber on the fabric and leather. These different skins combine with each other and with fabric or leather to form a homogeneous mass. Only now are the galons cut from the skins or parts thereof and sorted. For the purpose of fixing the individual gallons on the fabric, each gallon is individually painted over again with a solution very diluted with gasoline, using a fine brush. If this coat of paint appears half dry, the Galonne is placed at an appropriate distance from the other and pressed down with a narrow roller.
Once the gasoline has completely evaporated, the connection cannot be broken. proof for the insolubility and stability of this process is that the inventor found the coloration naturally galvanized objects by so-called Dip paint, with caustic soda for degreasing, and only acidic colors can be used for coloring, is completely successful.
Nach diesem vorliegenden Verfahren ermäfsigt sich der Herstellungspreis umAccording to this present process, the production price is reduced
