u. dgl., wodurch die Apparate umständlich und wenig zuverlässig wurden, insbesondere denThe invention relates to flushing valves with a spring-loaded piston brake in one
cylinder open at the bottom with large air inlet valve
and 'a delay valve. the
known flushing valves of this type had special ones for air compensation in the piston cylinder

Anstoß an das große Ventil wird diesesThe new thing is that the large air inlet valve, standing on the brake piston,
on the opening hatch released after a short distance and on the last part
the closing stroke is pushed open again. It is done with the usual rapid pull-down
"of the brake piston sucked in excess air, and, since also through the delay valve
air still flows in, the brake piston is left without air being drawn back, see above
that it also works in the stroke that has actually been carried out; when the brake piston decreases and
This is what pushes the big valve
plötzlich und mit Andruck dicht geschlossen. z5 opens quickly, the air above the brake piston suddenly escapes, it goes up quickly, and the water flow valve is suddenly and tightly closed with pressure.

Wirkungsdruck schnell abgesperrt.
The flushing valve consists of the usual valve b operating in the housing α , an air reservoir c with a brake piston d and a hand lever. As usual, the valve body / is guided through a pin g with play in the valve spindle h. The brake piston d arranged in the air reservoir c is loaded by a spring / in the closing direction of the valve. The air tank is open at the lower end, closed at the upper end and provided with a small adjustable opening k . Furthermore, a large valve m is arranged at the upper, closed end of the air tank, which protrudes with a pin into the stroke area of the piston d. If the brake piston in the air tank is pulled down when the hand lever e is pressed down and the liquid shut-off valve b is raised, the liquid is given unimpeded outflow. When the lever i 1 is released , the spring / piston d slowly lifts up again according to the air leakage through the small adjustable opening k. As soon as the piston hits the pin η of the large valve (s) at the end of the closing stroke, this valve is opened, and since the air above the brake piston can now quickly escape through the large opening ο, the brake piston jerks up so that the water flow valve is suddenly and tightly closed with pressure. The liquid is thus quickly shut off by a still reasonably good effective pressure. The cover plate / is inserted loosely into the closure layer, and only then is pressure particularly violent, which prevents the liquid from flowing further through it.
