Process for refining recent natural resins In the further processing of the process according to the patent -. '. 0 003, K1. 22h, and the associated additional patents 480 488 and .1.74 787, it was found that particularly high-quality end products are obtained if an initial condensation product made from phenols and aldehydes using basic condensation agents is used as the phenolic resin component. This makes it possible to refine large amounts of the natural resin with relatively small amounts of the plienolic resin.
Das basisch hergestellte Anfangskondensationsprodukt kann innerhalb
sehr weiter Grenzen schwanken.
verwenden.
The initial condensation product produced in base can within
very wide limits fluctuate. Depending on the quantity ratio of the base added,
that can be changed from a fraction of a percentage to several percent,
furthermore depending on the nature of the base itself and depending on the quantitative ratio between
the phenol and the aldehyde and / or the ketone is the action of this condensation product
on the \ aturharz different. In most cases one is called 'base \ atrium hydrotyd
use for its cheapness and good effect. But you can also use it
Put all inorganic or organic salts under - \ 'eutralization with acids
use forming, more or less basic compounds. The relation between
the phenol and the aldehyde are advantageously chosen in the present process so
that if the condensation continues, an infusible resin is formed
would. In most cases, one will use about one molecule of formaldehyde and one molecule of phenol
use. In many cases, however, it is recommended that the amount of formaldehyde is reduced to
iij, and even 2 molecules to increase if you really count on it in the first place
To bind as much phenol as possible and especially bright and lightfast end products
after combining with natural resins.
The state of the initial condensation product obtained under alkaline conditions
must be such that it is still with the melted natural resin without lump formation
mix. Otherwise, the greater or lesser state of condensation plays a role
it only matters insofar as the end product becomes harder the more advanced it is
was the condensation stage of the initial condensation product.
You can also use the initial condensation product with very little addition
a base and afterwards additional amounts during the condensation with natural resins
add the same or a different base; it will
also thereby a
surprisingly strong refinement of the natural resin achieved.
B. Kolophonium,
Kopal usw.. in Betracht. All acidic resins such as B. rosin,
Copal etc .. into consideration.
braucht. The refinement itself consists outwardly in a substantial elevation
the hardness, the melting point. of resistance sweep chemical influences and
the solubility ratios. The refined resins can be used for all purposes,
where you can find particularly high melting point, hard and resistant. soluble resin bodies
needs.
Ohne weiter Behandlung
inerten Gases arbeiten. The further processing of the combination products from your plienolliarz body
on the one hand and the natural resins on the other hand, as well as the method of presentation and use
the end products generally coincide completely with those in the main patent
4qo 003, K1. 2211. manner described. Example ioo g will be rolicresol
finite o; cin a 33% sodium hydroxide solution and then at 80 to 100 ° gradually and
after with .t5 g Paraforni added. A lively reaction occurs in a known manner
a. As soon as this is over and the Paraform has dissolved, the? Mass is cooled
so far that no further condensation occurs. Without further treatment
one carries this initial condensation product in previously melted 800 g Koloplioniuin
and heats up slowly increasing the temperature up to zoo to 25o °,
until the mass is clear even in the cold and no longer smells of phenol. then
the hydroxyl and carbolyl groups that are still present are used in a known manner,
esterified or saturated. One can also use the procedure to avoid losses
exercise under pressure. inan can be used for cleaning with steam or in a vacuum or
finite: water vapor in a vacuum that blows off, and you can do everything else
Use known methods to clean the Fiiclprorltikt and of volatile constituents
to free. During the entire manufacturing process, nian can stir and stir more or less
in the presence of air or under 1.tiftabscliluß or in an atmosphere of a
working inert gas.
