Bei Raumausleuchtungen ist es an sich bekannt, Scheinwerfer so aufzustellen und abzublenden, daß nur eine bestimmte Fläche bzw. ein begrenzter Raum beleuchtet wird, ebenso ist es auch nicht mehr neu, zur wechselfarbigen Beleuchtung von Hand oder automatisch Farbscheiben an der Strahlenquelle vorbeizuziehen. Um eine intensive und wirkungsvolle Ausleuchtung von Tanzflächen zu erreichen, hat man die Tanzbodenfläche selbst aus lichtdurchlässigem - u. a. farbigem - Material (Glas) hergestellt und von unten her beleuchtet.
