Gemäß der Erfindung wird dieser Nachteil dadurch vermieden, daß breite Hauptzellen mit in der ganzen Höhe der Matratze durchgehenden, schmalen Hilfszellen abwechseln und der Abstand der Zellen durch eine oben und unten durchgehende Stoffbahn gesichert wird. Dadurch können die Hauptzellen nur so weit seitlich ausweichen, wie dies die Breite der Hilfszellen zuläßt.
