Description

Process for the production of autotypes according to patent 457 654 Addendum to patent 457 654 The patent 457 654 protects a process in which firstly a halftone negative and secondly a scale grid or in reverse order are copied onto the etching plate. It is inevitable that the darker tones are exposed to complete blackening, which causes printing difficulties. According to the present invention, this disadvantage is countered by inserting a screen in front of or in between when copying the halftone negative. Therefore, according to the invention, in contrast to the method of patent 457 203, it should not be a grid formed from several tones, but rather only have a single tone apart from the translucent areas. If this is not completely opaque, it increases the tonal richness, while an opaque grid limits it.
