Description
Das Verfahren bezweckt, Tiefdruckformen, welche auf photo-mechanischetn Wege hergestellt werden, durch eigenartiges Kopieren ohne Handarbeit jede erforderliche Tiefe zu geben, sowie zu verhindern, daß beim Abrakeln die Farbe durch die Rakel aus der Druckform herausgeholt wird.The aim of the process is to produce gravure forms which are produced by photo-mechanical means be able to give every required depth by strange copying without manual labor, as well as to prevent that when doctoring the ink is extracted from the printing form by the squeegee.
Die Arbeitsweise ist folgende. Die Rasterplatte (durchsichtige Linien, schwarze Punkte) wird auf die Chromatgelatineschicht aufgelegt und so lange belichtet, bis die Rasterlinien in der Gelatineschicht gegerbt dastehen, ein Vorgang, der bei vollem Sonnenlicht eine Belichtungszeit von etwa 31Z2 bis 4 Minuten erfordert. Hierauf wird die Rasterplatte abgenommen und mittels Diapositiv die Druckplatte von der anderen Seite belichtet, d. h. das Diapositiv wird an dem durchsichtigen Träger der Chromatgelatineschicht angelegt, so daß das Licht durch das Diapositiv und durch den Träger hindurch in die Chromatgelatineschicht eindringt. Beim Belichten dringen die Lichtstrahlen in die stark lichtdurchlassenden Stellen des Diapositivs bis an die Oberfläche der Chromatgelatineschicht ein, so daß diese vollständig gegerbt wird. An der Oberfläche der Chromatgelatineschicht sind ,die Rasterlinien so breit, wie sie in der Rasterplatte sind, dahingegen sind sie in der Tiefe der Gelatineschicht schwächer, weil das Licht beim Kopieren des Rasters in der Tiefe der Gelatineschicht nicht so intensiv wirken kann. Diese äußerst feinen Linien in der Tiefe der Gelatineschicht werden durch das Belichten mittels Diapositiv von der Rückseite der-Druckplatte im Grunde der Gelatineschicht gefestigt, so daß sie beim Auswaschen nicht zusammenfallen können. Dadurch, daß die Linien in der Tiefe dünner sind, bilden sieh zwischen den Rasterlinien Vertiefungen, welche in der Tiefe der Gel'atineschicht breiter sind als an der Oberfläche. Hierdurch bleibt die Druckfarbe beim Abrakeln der Druckform in den Vertiefungen besser sitzen.
