Description
Suction lifters can be brought to an automatic working that they get an automatic closure, which only opens when the lifting hose is completely 5 or almost completely filled by overflowing the water.
The invention relates to such an automatic locking device and consists in that in the sole of the lifter a two-wing flap with wings of different sizes is arranged of which the smaller one can be folded in against the direction of flow for the purpose of completing the lifter and the larger one below the sole in one at the top after the lifter to open Kämmer lies, whose part facing the underwater through a narrow channel with the siphon outlet and through a second additional pipe with the siphon inlet
Der Verschluß wirkt in folgender Weise:According to the invention, the wall of the chamber part located downstream of the upper water also has a channel-like recess which, when the flap is closed, ends shortly before the larger flap wing. The subject matter of the invention is illustrated by the figures. The lifter 5 ″ is installed in a dam wall according to Fig. Ι. In its base, a two- wing flap K with wings of different sizes is arranged, which is shown on a larger scale in Fig. 2 in the closed, in Fig. 3 in the open state The pivot point of the flap lies approximately in the lower wall of the siphon hose. The smaller wing 2 can be folded against the direction of flow into the siphon hose. The larger wing 1 moves in a chamber V 1 , V 2 located below the siphon hose. It is also by its own or an artificial weight so complained that the flap settles automatically against a stop T, so that occupies in Figs. 1 and 2 illustrated position, wherein the wing 2 closes the siphon tube. the space V 2 behind the flap is through a narrow Channel L connected to the siphon outlet. A second channel R with a larger cross-section connects the space V 2 with the upper part of the siphon, the mouth M of the pipe R is located di right below the siphon apex. The lock works in the following way:
Die Klappe bleibt also geschlossen. The flap remains closed. Any water that seeps through to V 2 is discharged through channel L. If the water in the siphon hose has now risen to M , a larger amount of water flows through the pipe R to the space V 2 , which can no longer be discharged through the narrow channel L. As a result, the same pressure arises in spaces V 1 and V 2 , and the flap, which is opened by the excess weight on wing 2, finally assumes the position shown in Fig. 3, in which the water in

Ist der Heber leergelaufen, so schließt sich die Klappe infolge des Übergewichtes von Flügel 1 wieder selbsttätig. the lifter flows unhindered past the flap and this by the flow pressure on part 2 keeps open. The wing 1 lies with its largest part against one Plate P so that this part does not receive any flow pressure. Has the jack run empty so the flap closes again automatically due to the excess weight of wing 1.
In Fig. 2, a channel-like recess U is shown in the back of the chamber F 1. Although this is not absolutely necessary, it does mean an improvement in the device. The opening of the flap K will usually begin before the water in the pipe R has risen to the mouth M. If the water does not flow quickly enough through M into the pipe R , it can happen that the pressure in the space F 2 decreases, and the overpressure on the wing 2, when water begins to flow off, is also lower, the flap would open so only open slowly and jerkily. Through the recess U of the chamber F 1 it is achieved that immediately after the start of the movement of the flap, the room F 2 comes into direct contact with the room V 1 * that is, the wing 1 is completely relieved. A sudden opening of the flap, which could damage it, is prevented by the resistance that the water opposes to the movement of the flap in the chamber, the chamber V 1 at the same time acts as a damping. The siphon hose 5 "is closed off from the outside air by the siphon Z. If it overflows over the siphon crown C , the siphon hose will only fill slowly In order to prevent this and to enable faster filling, a small suction pipe, ie
If the inlet opening is located inside the suction nozzle, as shown in Fig. 1, it must be a little deeper than the suction nozzle, because otherwise the condensing air will also push the water away from it and make filling difficult. If the inlet opening of the auxiliary lifter is outside the suction nozzle, it can be allowed to reach down as far as is expedient for other reasons, for example. In order to enable or facilitate the escape of the air enclosed in the siphon hose, a valve O is also attached to the siphon apex in a known manner in the exemplary embodiment. When such auxiliary devices are arranged, the siphon is filled quickly and safely and completely independently of the shape and position of the suction nozzle and the siphon overflow edge.
