Diese zweite Flüssigkeit befindet sich in einem Behälter B, dessen Gewicht durch ein Gegengewicht P ausbalancirt ist. Der Abflufs dieses Behälters B ist bei E und wird durch. einen biegsamen Schlauch nach dem Ausflufs F geführt, welcher in der Wandung des Behälters A in gleicher Höhe mit dem Ausflufs D liegt. Fliefst nun durch G in den Behälter B Flüssigkeit ein, so wird derselbe sofort eine Lage suchen, bei welcher Gleichgewicht vorhanden ist. Dann ist der Druck auf die horizontale Bodenfläche von A überall derselbe, mithin auch auf die in gleicher Höhe liegenden Ausflüsse F und D, unbekümmert um die specifischen Gewichte der verschiedenen Flüssigkeiten. H und H sind Einstellhähne. Bei / fliefsen die Flüssigkeiten in gewünschtem constanten Verhältnifs zusammen, je nachdem die Hähne eingestellt sind.The unevenly inflowing liquid runs into the container A through the line C.
