Aus Cellulosederivaten bestehender Überzug für Dichtungsscheiben von Flaschenverschlüssen. Bei Flaschenverschlüssen mit Metallkapseln, wie z. B. bei dem weitverbreiteten Kronkork, bestehen die Dichtungsscheiben aus Kork. Ein vollkommenes Dichtungsmaterial ist Korlc indessen aus vielen Gründen durchaus nicht. Abgesehen von dem zuweilen auftretenden Korkgeschmack bestehen die Nachteile in ungleichmäßigem Material, den Poren und dem Umstande, daß die Korkrinde nicht dick genug ist, um sie in die für den Fabrikationsgang geeignete Form zu bringen. Ferner dringt nach dem Verschließen der Flasche durch die Poren der Korkscheibe Feuchtigkeit bis zur Metallkapsel durch. Deshalb muß zwischen Kork und Metall eine besondere Zwischenlage aus wasserdichtem Stoff, in der Regel paraffiniertem Papier, Harzpapier oder Stanniol eingelegt werden. Man hat bereits vorgeschlagen, zur Beseitigung dieser Übelstände die Korkscheiben mit einem Überzug aus reiner Dinitrocellttlose zu versehen oder Holzscheiben mit diesem Überzug zu verwenden. Die geringe Dehnbarkeit und Sprödigkeit solcher Überzüge hat indessen ihre Anwendung vereitelt. Diese Haut besteht beispielsweise aus Nitrocellulose, die durch Zusatz von nicht flüchtigen Gelatiniermitteln die erforderliche Elastizität, Dehnbarkeit und Schmiegsamkeit erhalten hat. Die so hergestellte filmartige Haut, die auf der Scheibe aus Faserstoff fest angebracht sein kann, besitzt nun alle Eigenschaften, um sich vollkommen fest und dicht jeder Unebenheit der Flaschenmündung anzuschmiegen, ohne zu zerreißen. Hierdurch gelingt es, die Flaschen hermetisch zu verschließen, und zwar so, daß deren Inhalt nur mit dem Glase und der elastischen Haut in Berührung kommt.
