Description

Sealing insert For covering or covering inlays made of natural and artificial cork and cork substitute materials that are placed in closures for bottles and glasses are paraffin paper, or also: film-like coatings made of cellulose ester material known. The film-like cover layers made of Cellu: have loose ester material proved to be unsuitable, what of the, in. These film-like substances contained Means of preservation originates. Films without softeners made from cellulose ester around ether masses, such as those made from nitrocellulose or cellulose acetate, are in themselves too hard, to be used as an intermediate layer for the closures.

According to the present invention, these become film-like coatings for the sealing inserts. not made from a uniform cellulose derivative, .but it has been found that by mixing two different Cellulose esterification products can obtain films with such suppleness, -that the disadvantages of the known films without softeners have been remedied. Felt this Art are obtained if, for example, cellulose diacetate and cellulose propionate processed together into a film. Likewise, suitable soft film layers are found obtained if you look at the various stages of esterification of cellulose, with a mixed organic acid, processed into films, e.g. B. a mixture of cellulose triacetate and of cellulose diacetate. The mixing ratio of the cellulose esters can be be very different; in the production of suitable film material from a Mixture of cellulose diacetate and cellulose propionate, the proportion of cellulose diacetate between 5o and 8o%, the same applies to the manufacture from Cellulose triacetate and cellulose diacetate film material can. the proportion of triacetate vary between 3o to 8o%. Embodiment I o kg of cellulose acetate, which is imperfectly soluble in acetone and, according to its acetic acid value, is about 6o Parts of cellulose triacetate and 40 parts of cellulose diacetate are made in one Solvent mixture of 80 'kg of methylene chloride and 10 kg of mefhanol dissolved. From this Solution, films about 0.1 mm thick are cast in a known manner. This sealing material is suitable as an insert on mineral water closures as well as screw caps for perfumery containing alcohol.

Claims (1)

PATENT ANSPRUCII: ' Dichtungseinlage für Verschlüsse .an Flaschen, Gläsern u. dgl., dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Dichtungseinlage ein- oder beiderseitig mit einer filmartigen Deckschicht aus solchen Celluloseestermassen besteht, die in sich uneinheitlich sind bzw. ein Gemisch von verschieden veresterten Gelluloseabköznmlingen darstellen, wodurch der Filmschicht ein besonderer Weichheitsgrad gegeben wird.PATENT ANSPRUCII: 'Sealing insert for closures on bottles, Glasses and the like, characterized in that the sealing insert on one or both sides with a film-like cover layer of such cellulose ester masses that are inherently inconsistent or a mixture of differently esterified cellulose compounds represent, whereby the film layer is given a special degree of softness.
