Ein Zylinderrohr i, «-elches an beiden Enden
durch verschraubte D':ckel 2 und 3 einerseits mit Griff 4 und Zeiger 5, anderseits
mit Mundstück 6 und Verschluß 7 abgeschlossen ist, bildet die äußeren Bestandteile
der Tube. Die beiden Deckel sind durch Lederringe 8 abgedichtet. Im Innern befindet
sich ein Kolben 9, in dessen Mitte sich zwei drehbare Ansätze io für eine Doppelschere
ii befinden. Um den Kolben herum ist eine Nut 12 angebracht, in welche ein Filzring
eingelassen ist. Durch die Mitte des unteren Deckels 13 läuft die Spindel 14., mit
derem äußeren Ende der Griff 4. verbunden ist. Auf der Innensaite des Deckels befindet
sich auf der Spindel 14 ein Bund-15, der als Zahnrad ausgebildet ist, welches gleichzeitig
in ein größeres Zahnrad 16, an dem der Zeiger 5 befestigt ist, eingreift. Auf der
inneren Deckelseite sind ferner noch zwei feststehende Ansätze 17 für die Doppelschere
angebracht, an welche diese befestigt ist. Die Glieder der Doppelschere sind zur
Erhöhung der Stabilität an den äußeren Enden 18 mit durchgehenden Bolzen i9 verbunden.
Die -Mutter 2o, welche auf der Spindel 14 sitzt, ist in geeigneter Weise mit der
Schere so verbunden, daß sich die Schere bei Drehung der Spindel öffnet oder schließt
und so den Kolben vor-oder rückwärts bewegt. Die Mündung 6 auf dem verschraubten
Deckel 2 wird durch eine konisch aufsitzende Verschlußklappe 7 verschlossen, die

des Filzringes in der Nut 12 noch genügend Lösungsmittel zur Ständigen Nachtränkung
des Filzringes während der Arbeit verbleibt. Der Zeigerdeckel wird hiera=uf wieder
fest zugeschraubt. Hierauf wird der Verschlußdeckel 2 abgeschraubt. Durch Linksdrehen
des Griffes .4 wird die Schere i i zusammengezogen und der Kolben auf seinen tiefsten
Stand gesetzt (Abb. i). Die Tube wird nun mit der gewünschten Masse gefüllt, der
Verschlußdeckel wieder aufgeschraubt, und die Tube ist gebrauchsfertig. Um von dem
Inhalt der Tube zu entnehmen, öffnet man durch Druck auf die Feder die Verschlußklappe,
legt diese um und macht dadurch die Mündung der Tube vollkommen frei (Abb.2). Durch
Drehen des Griffes wird der Kolben nach der Mündung geschraubt und drückt so den
Inhalt der geöffneten _ Mündung zu. Nach Entnahme wird der Deckel durch Zuklappen
wieder geschlossen. Naturgemäß bleiben beim Auspressen des Inhalts hinter dem Kolben
geringe Rückstände haften, die je nach dem Inhalte (z. B. Ölfarbe) vertrocknen .und
so die Kolbenbewegung hemmen könnten. Um dies zu verhindern, löst der Filzring mit
Hilfe des jeweiligen Lösungsmittels (für Ölfarbe z. B. ÖL) die Rückstände auf und
schmiert die Kolbenwand neu ein. Ist der Inhalt auf diese Weise entleert, was durch
den Zeiger angezeigt wird, so kann durch Wiederholung des hier beschriebenen Vorganges
die Tube immer wieder von neuem gefüllt werden. Dabei ist -zu bemerken, daß das
Nachtränken des Filzringes mit Lösungsmittel erst nach mehrma-, liger Entleerung
