Process for the production of pigment colors. In patent 356,973
describes a process for the production of green pigment colors in which nitroso-ß-naphthol,
expediently in the form of its bisulfite compound, with iron salts, advantageously in the presence
of turkey red oil or similar additives, in the presence or absence of in
the lacquer industry common substrates implemented or the formation of such substrates
is associated with the production of green pigment.
N itroso-ß-naphthol zu i Mol. Ferrosalz berechneten Menge, gegebenenfalls
It has now been found that the hue of the pigment colors mentioned can be obtained
while maintaining their excellent light and alkali fastness more or less
can influence if you precipitate the iron compound of nitroso-ß-naphthol
in the presence of basic dyes, expediently those of the malachite green series,
undertakes. One can proceed, for example, that the nitroso-ß-naphthol with
Addition of bisulfite dissolves the iron salt specified in patent 356,973
Way or in a much smaller or larger, for example in
an amount calculated on 2 moles of nitroso-β-naphthol to 1 mole of ferrous salt, if appropriate
also Turkish red oil or the like, adds, the mixture is mixed with the basic dye
and then the precipitation by adding an alkaline agent such as soda,
causes. It has proven to be particularly advantageous to add to the mixture before it is added
of the basic dye from the alkaline compound without adding any
To effect precipitation.
Beispiel. i i i 6 Teile
Eisenvitriol (i : 2o "gelöst), 2d.Teilen Türkischrotöl F (i : io), iooTeilen kalcini.erter
Soda (i : io) und d.o Teilen Diamantgrün GX (i : ioo) zu, läßt sodann langsam 26o
Instead of the nitroso-ß-naphthol you can also use its finished bisulfite compound
use, preferably with the addition of a little bisulfite solution. Example. i i i 6 parts
a 5 percent paste of α-nitroso-ß-naphthol with 65o parts bisulfite solution
of 38 ° Be and 3ooo parts of water and made into a paste by stirring for 3 hours
brought to the solution. The solution is filtered and the filtrate to about sooo parts
topped up with water. The aqueous solutions of q.8 parts are then added one after the other
Iron vitriol (i: 2o "dissolved), 2d parts Turkish red oil F (i: io), 100 parts kalcini.erter
Soda (i: io) and d.o parts of Diamantgrün GX (i: ioo), then slowly leaves 26o
Parts of calcined soda, dissolved in 2,600 parts of water, run in and are complete
Deposition of the green pigment. 4 parts alumina hydrate in about 4 percent paste
to. It is then washed out by making up to twice the volume and
filtered off. The yield is about 100 parts of pigment color in 12 percent
Paste.
The dye shows excellent fastness to light and limescale.
