Ringförmiger Herdeinsatz. Gegenstand der Erlindung ist ein ringförmiger
Herdeinsatz zur Führung der Rostgase. Derartige Einsätze sind bereits bekannt. Die
neue Erfindung besteht darin, daß der Einsatz oben nach innen umgebördelt und mit
Abstand von der Herdplatte in das Feuerloch eingesetzt ist und unten einen in den

Der Herdeinsatz besteht aus einem ringförmigen Eisenkörper a, der
oben nach innen umgebördelt ist und unten einen seitlichen Abschlußlappen
b trägt. Der Eisenkörper a
wird mit dem Abschlußlappen b nach dem Rauchabzugkanal
zu von oben so tief in den Herd eingesetzt, daß der obere Rand des
Körpers
a in geringem Abstand unter der Unterseite der Herdplatte liegt. Der Abschlußlappen
b wird so weit heruntergebogen, daß er auf dem Boden des Rauchzugkanals i aufliegt,
wie Abb. 3 zeigt. Dann wird die nach dem Abzugkanal zu sich erstreckende, durch
die gestrichelte Linie h unten begrenzte Öffnung und der untere Innen-und Außenrand

Das Feuerloch bildet jetzt einen nach oben offenen Trichter, in dem
die bei der Verbrennung entstehenden Heizgase nur nach oben aufsteigen und durch
den Ringspalt zwischen Topfwand und Umbördelung und weiter zwischen der Oberkante
des Körpers a und der Unterseite der Herdplatte in den Rauchzugkanal entweichen
können. Die Umbördelung erzeugt dabei eine gewisse Wirbelung und damit einen Wärmestau,
der die günstige Wirkung des neuen Herdeinsatzes erhöht. Bei dem geringen Abstande
zwischen der Oberkante des Einsatzes und. der Unterseite der Herdplatte müssen sich
die Rostgase unter der Herdplatte ausbreiten und erhitzen diese mit.The fire hole now forms a funnel open at the top, in which
