Dies erreicht man zum Beispiel durch ein System von horizontalen Heizschlangen, welche einzeln parallel oder hintereinandergeschaltet werden können. So kann man das Kühlen oder Erhitzen an denjenigen Stellen der Absorptionsmasse ausführen, wo der Arbeitsvorgang es erfordert. Man erhält so Absorptionsapparate von großer Kapazität an Absorptionsmassen, welche den Durchgang von Gasen nur geringen und gleichmäßigen Widerstand bieten und sich dadurch vorteilhaft von den mit geraden, senkrechten Heizrohren ausgestatteten Apparaten unterscheiden.
