Abstract
Description
When windsurfing, the use of wind power means more or less large sail with free moving mast the real thing Surfboard on which the surfer is located, depending on the prevailing Wind force moves faster or slower on the water. The ride The surfer can find the right direction and speed with an appropriate Setting the sail to the wind direction or changing the sail to Affect the lateral pressure point and body weight shift. As an the only driving force here is wind power.
The problem with windsurfing is that it is an addiction of the presence of an appropriate wind. I.e. is not a wind there is no windsurfing possible. Likewise is the achievable speed mainly from the existing wind strength dependent. Therefore, professional windsurfing is only for those well-known so-called surfing paradises such. B. Lake Garda, Caribbean, Hawaii etc. possible. However, these are not constant for every surf athlete usable.
This problem of wind dependence is addressed by those in the patent claims listed features solved.
The advantages achieved with the invention are in particular that if there is wind, the surfboard can be used as usual can. However, if there is no wind, it can be done in a few simple steps the surfboard can be converted (the entire rig is removed and the compact motor drive built in), so that the surfboard too is still usable in this situation. It will be the Windan driving force replaced by a motor driving force and a wind achieved independence. The speed of the surfboard can Surfer at their own discretion with the help of a small hand or foot control the device. Furthermore, an adaptation of the achievable Top speed through the use of different engine outputs can be achieved. By using a centrifugal clutch, a safe starting achieved. The drive takes place only from a be agreed engine speed. This corresponds to accident protection, since No drive takes place as soon as the surfer leaves the surfboard and thus the hand / foot device is no longer operated. The steering or the The direction is changed by shifting the body weight of the surfer on the surfboard (similar to wave surfing) and possibly additionally according to the embodiment via a hand or foot operated control device. The surfer's body balance must be constantly balanced become. This creates a new sport - engine surfing, which can be operated similarly to wave surfing. There can be competitions on marked out courses, slaloms etc. be carried out. Since at Transport of the surfboard, e.g. B. on the car roof, the motorized drive unit can remain in the surfboard, therefore also arises no additional space required for transportation.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawings and is described in more detail below.

Fig. 1 Surfboard mit Rigg ohne motorischen Antrieb Einzelheit X (Explosionsdarstellung der leeren Antriebsbox), Fig. 1 surfboard rig without motor drive detail X (exploded view of the empty Antriebsbox)
Fig. 2 Surfboard mit motorischen Antrieb ohne Rigg Einzelheit Y (Explosionsdarstellung der Antriebsbox mit An triebsbaugruppe). Fig. 2 Surfboard with motor drive without rig detail Y (exploded view of the drive box with drive assembly).
In Fig. 1, the surfboard 1 is shown in the sail version - the drive takes place via the rig 14 by the wind power. The drive box has no function and is sealed by the cover I / II 3 and 13 waterproof with the help of the quick-release elements 12 and the sealing elements 11 .
Fig. 2 shows the upgraded to motor drive version. The entire rig 14 was removed from the surfboard 1 and the closure cover II 13 through the base plate 2 with the motor drive unit 4 integrated thereon; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; 8 ; 9 ; 10 ; 15 exchanged. This conversion is unproblematic and time-saving due to the quick-release elements 12 . The sealing is again done via the Dichtele elements 11 . The water-cooled internal combustion engine 4 generates the required drive torque. The cooling water supply / discharge is integrated in the drive 6 . A tank 8 is available for the fuel supply. If possible, this should be designed as a pressure tank with a pendulum suction line, in order to guarantee trouble-free engine operation even when the position of the surf board 1 changes extremely (e.g. when capsizing or turning over). The intake air is supplied via the air / water valve 9 a. It has the task, for. B. when capsizing the surfboard 1 to prevent water from entering the drive box. The exhaust gases generated are transferred via an air / water valve 9 b (prevents the penetration of water into the engine 4) and discharged in an outlet slit 5 drive. 6 The engine 4 is started via a cable pull starting device. This can be designed so that it is to be operated either with a closed (increased water sealing effort) or open Ver cover lid I 3 . The speed of the motor 4 can be regulated via a hand-held device 10 . Likewise, the engine 4 can be switched off via this hand tool 10 . The torque generated by the engine 4 is transmitted to the water screw 7 via a centrifugal clutch 5 and the drive 6 (e.g. toothed belt drive). The water screw 7 thus generates the feed force for the surfboard 1 . Due to the centrifugal clutch 5 , a force connection to the water screw 7 takes place only at increased engine speed. In this way, controlled and accident-free operation of the surfboard 1 is achieved. That is, the surfboard 1 is only advanced when the handheld device 10 is actuated. If the handheld device 10 is not actuated, the surfboard 1 stops.
Furthermore, the centrifugal clutch 5 makes it easier to start the engine 4 , since the frictional connection between the engine 4 and the water screw 7 is interrupted during the starting process. The screw protection 15 protects the water screw 7 from external mechanical influences. At the same time, any risk of injury from the water screw 7 is reduced to a minimum.
The body weight shift for controlling the surfboard 1 is supported by a hand-operated or foot-operated control device 16 (mechanical or electrical design). The surfboard 1 must in its design data the somewhat increased weight through the use of the drive unit 4 ; 5 ; 6 ; 7 ; 8 ; 9 ; 10 ; 15 can be adjusted.
