Es ist hierfür nicht nur der durch einfache Versuche zu ermittelnde Grad der Löslichkeit der betreffenden Verbindungen in Alkohol von Bedeutung, sondern als Kampferersatz sind nur solche Stoffe brauchbar, die die Vitrocellulose schon bei verhältnismäßig geringem Zusatz gelatinieren und nach der Entfernung des Lösungsmittels und weiter üblichen Verarbeitung Massen von den bekannten physikalischen Eigenschaften des Celluloids ergeben.
