Verfahren zur Extraktion bituminöser Stoffe. Die Extraktion bituminöser Stoffe wird bisher in vorwiegendem Maße mit Benzol ausgeführt. Die großen Verdampfungsverluste, der Zwang, bei verhältnismäßig niedriger Temperatur - dem Siedepunkte des Benzols - arbeiten zu müssen, und der hohe Preis führten zu anderen Vorschlägen, andere Extraktionsmittel, wie Naphthalin, seine Hydrierungsprodukte u. dgl., zu verwenden. Ihre Verwendung hat aber auch verschiedene Nachteile. So gelingt z. B. die Trennung des Naphthalins vom Kohleextrakt nicht völlig, da sich Kondensationsprodukte zu bilden scheinen (vgl. Oswald und P i n t a , Compt. rend. 178, S. 155z [192q.], Chimie et Industrie, 12, S.415 [19241). Der ausgedehnten Verwendung von Derivaten des -Naphthalins, wie Tetralin und Dekalin, steht auch der hohe Preis dieser Produkte entgegen.Process for the extraction of bituminous substances.
