Process for the preparation of black azo dyes. It is found
been that by combining the aminobenzaldehydes and diazotized m
a-naphthylamines which are unoccupied in the 4-position, obtainable diazo compounds with 2
# 3-Oxynaphthoic acid arylides despite the free aldehyde group they contain
black dyes with excellent fastness properties, in particular
of very good light and stomach fastness. The dyes can be used as
Pigments or on substrates or on the fiber. The execution happens
in the latter case in such a way that they are impregnated with a # 3-oxynaphthoic acid arylides
Were treated with the diazo compounds of these Benzaldehydazoi-naphthylamine.
Depending on the type of components used, you get reddish black,
black to green, blackish tint. The authenticity, especially the lightfastness
the coloration can be increased still further by treatment with copper salts.
All aminoazo compounds with free aldehyde groups can be used as diazo components
be used in the m-position to the azo group, which by coupling of diazotized
m-Aminobenzaldehyde, its homologues and substitution products with a-naphthylamine
and its derivatives capable of coupling in the. -position.
Beispiele. i.
Man erhält
ein volles, eine Spur rotstichiges Schwarz.According to the method of the German patent 293375 , real black colorations are produced on the fiber by the fact that the 2. 3-Oxynaphthoesäurearyliden-impregnated goods treated with the diazo compounds of the asymmetrically alkylated diaminoazo bodies. However, these colorations soon fade to an unsightly red-brown on exposure, while black colorations are obtained with the dyes obtainable by the present process, which give fuller and better covering tones on exposure in the same period of time. They also associate the very good light fastness with a very good stomach fastness and in this respect surpass other known dyes of this type. Examples. i. Cotton yarn is impregnated with the following primer 12 g 2 # 3-Oxynaphtho ° -säure- (3-naphthalide, 36 cc of sodium hydroxide solution 34 ° B6, a4. Ccm soda -Türkischrotöl 5o percent, 500 cc of hot water filled up with water at 11. The Impregnated yarn is unwound and dyed with a diazo solution, which is prepared as follows: 5.5 g of Ben? aldehydazo-a-naph: hylamine (made using m-aminoberzaldehyde) in the form of a thin dough are added together with 1.75 g of sodium nitrite in ice water and 5 cc of hydrochloric acid are slowly stirred in. After the diazotization, the mixture is adjusted to 11 with cold water and neutralized with sodium acetate. The primed yarn is left in the dyebath for some time, rinsed, soaped and finished full, a trace of reddish black.
