Dabei hat das Aluminium den weiteren wesentlichen Vorteil, daß es im Gegensatz zu anderen metallischen Füllkörpern von den Oxydationsprodukten derParaffinkohlenwasserstoffe nicht angegriffen wird und daher unmittelbar hellgefärbte Produkte entstehen. Statt Reinaluminium kann man auch Aluminiumlegierungen, wie Silumin oder Duralumin, verwenden.It has now been found that the use of aluminum packings in this process offers particular advantages.
