Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a heat exchange device in the preamble of Claim 1 specified genus.
Heat exchange devices of this type are used in warm, especially tropical Areas frequently for simple cooling or air conditioning of the Indoor air from buildings or individual rooms of the same. The cooling takes place by wetting a heat exchange surface formed from straw, brushwood or the like a liquid, usually water, and by which with the strong evaporation of the Evaporative cold associated with liquid. The larger the heat exchange area is, around the better the cooling of the air that interacts with it. An unwanted one However, a side effect is that the air also absorbs liquid. Will one such heat exchange device therefore in a substantially closed Air cycle operated, will continue to grow in addition to the desired cooling effect get absolute and relative air humidity. Especially the relative humidity speed increases significantly because the saturation vapor pressure decreases towards colder temperatures takes. Apart from that, those with known heat exchange devices mentioned type achievable cooling capacities, on the size dimensions of the devices related, not always sufficient.
The invention is therefore based on the object, the heat exchange device to initially designate the genus so that with increased cooling capacity much lower increase in relative humidity can be achieved.
Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe dienen die kennzeichnenden Merkmale des Anspruchs 1.The characteristic features of claim 1 serve to solve this problem.
Further advantageous features of the invention emerge from the subclaims.
Es zeigen:The invention is described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawing Embodiment explained in more detail. Show it:

According to Fig. 1 and 2, the heat exchange apparatus of the invention includes a Verdun light output level 1, which is connected to an air inlet side with a header box 2. This is designed, for example, in the manner of a pyramid, the base of which consists of a filter element 3 and is attached to the air inlet side of the evaporation stage 1 , while a pipe socket 4 is provided in the pyramid tip, through which air to be cooled flows. In the collecting box 2 is preferably also a spanned over the entire cross section, provided with holes distributor plate 5 is mounted, the z. B. conical or also pyramid-shaped and with its tip facing the pipe socket 4 , has holes in an even distribution and serves to distribute the air flowing through the pipe socket 4 evenly over the entire surface of the filter element 3 .
The actual evaporation stage is surrounded in the exemplary embodiment by a cube-shaped or cuboid housing 6 , which has an open front, bordering on the filter element 3 and a likewise open, connected to an air / air heat exchanger 7 rear side in the upper region. As particularly Figs. 3 and 5 show, this upper area is the housing 6 with a comparatively large heat exchange surface 8 provided that z. B. from substantially elongated, parallel sections 9 of a preferably wavy or meandering around support rods 10 around fleece 11 is formed. The individual sections 9 delimit parallel air passages 12 and are spacers 14 , z. B. in the form of a three-dimensional, made of plastic threads or wires spacer fabric or knitted fabric, kept parallel and at a distance. The spacers 14 prevent the sections 9 from sticking together and at the same time form turbulators for swirling the air flowing through, which is supplied through the filter element 3 . The support rods 10 are preferably in the flow direction of the air and also arranged so that the individual sections 9 of the heat exchange surface 8 are arranged substantially vertically during operation of the device.
In a closed area of the housing 6 arranged below the heat exchange surface 8 and expediently accessible through a housing door, an upwardly open storage tank 15 is arranged, which is filled with a liquid to a preselected level by means of a float valve 16 and an inlet, not shown, which can be checked via a sight glass 17 .
In the housing 6 , a drip pan 18 is arranged above the sections 9 of the heat exchange surface 8 , in the bottom of which a plurality of holes 19 are cut with preselected cross sections. The holes 19 are preferably arranged evenly distributed over all sections 9 and directed directly to their upper ends. The drip pan 18 is provided with at least one overflow 20 leading to the storage tank 15 and with an inlet line 21 which is connected to a pressure or delivery side of a pump 22 arranged in the storage tank.
The air / air heat exchanger 7 , as shown in particular in FIGS. 4 and 5, preferably consists of a plate heat exchanger, which consists of plates arranged in parallel and at a distance and through which cross-flow flows. Preferably the heat exchanger used to prepare 7-called twin-wall sheets 23 are used, each consisting of two parallel plates 23 a, b and c exist between these arranged, extending perpendicular to them, acting as a spacer webs 23rd
The webs 23 c are preferably arranged at regular intervals and extends over the entire length of the plates 23 a, b, so that they simultaneously form air passages 24 .
Between adjacent double wall plates 23 a, b are effective as spacers, preferably parallel and at equal distances spacer strips 25 are provided, which form air passages 26 extending at right angles to the air passages 24 and at the lateral ends of the double wall plates 23 a, b by sealing strips 27 are replaced. Alternatively, the spacer strip 25 and sealing strip 27 could be replaced by additional double web plates run the webs perpendicular to the ridges 23 c. The connection of the different parts of the heat exchanger 7 can take place, depending on the materials, by gluing, soldering or the like. This results in a heat exchanger with two types of air passages 24 and 26 , which are flowed through in cross flow, as the arrows u, v, w and x in Fig. 5 show. Also shows in particular Fig. 5, that on three side walls of the heat exchanger 7 collection boxes 28, are shown at 29 and 30, while the fourth, remaining free side wall is attached directly to the side wall of the evaporation stage 1, in which the air, after passing through the Air passages 12 emerges. The collecting boxes 28 , 29 and 30 are expediently designed like the collecting box 2 , as this is connected to the housing 6 to form a fixed structural unit and is provided with pipe sockets 31 , 32 and 33 , it being possible for the distributor plates to be missing in the collecting boxes 28 and 30 .
In wenigstens zwei Rohrstutzen, z. In at least two pipe sockets, e.g. B. the pipe socket 31 and 33 , fans 34 , 35 are arranged. These are preferably designed as axial fans, as they are often used in residential construction in exhaust air ducts from bathrooms, toilets or the like. Air through the corresponding air passages 12 , 26 of the evaporation stage 1 or the heat exchanger 7 on the one hand and the air passages 24th on the other hand, suck the heat exchanger 7 .
For practical reasons, the entire device is useful as a compact, prefabricated and transportable unit.
ausgeglichen. The operation of the heat exchange device described is essentially as follows:
After filling the storage tank 15 with a liquid and switching on the pump 22 and the fans 34 and 35 , warm air is sucked in through the pipe socket 4 and converted into an air flow by means of the header box 2 and the distributor plate 5 , which flow is uniform over the cross section of the filter element 3 and the inlet openings of the plurality of air passages 12 is distributed. Airborne Ver impurities are retained by the filter element 3 , whereby the risk of contamination of the air passages 12 , 26 is reduced. The air flow then flows through the air passages 12 , being cut into intimate contact with the various sections 9 of the heat exchange surface 8 , which is constantly wetted with the liquid by conveying it into the drip tray 18 by means of the pump 22 and through the holes 19 thereof the upper ends of the sections 9 drip. With the help of the hole cross section and the height of the liquid column, a precisely metered amount of the liquid can be passed onto the heat exchange surface 11 and this can be wetted uniformly over its entire length. Too much liquid is conveyed through the overflow 20 or by dripping from the lower ends of the sections 9 back into the storage tank 15 . Due to the large-scale evaporation of the liquid, thermal energy is extracted from the air flowing past, which results in a noticeable cooling of this air. The loss of liquid resulting from the evaporation is constantly automatically compensated for with the aid of the float valve 16 and the inlet, not shown.
The cooled air enters the air passages 26 of the heat exchanger 7 , which are expediently aligned with the air passages 12 or connected to them in some other way, flows through them and is then discharged to the outside via the collecting box 28 and the pipe socket 31 . At the same time, further warm air is drawn in through the pipe socket 32 and distributed to the entire associated input surface of the heat exchanger 7 by means of the distributor plate attached in the collecting box 29 , from where it then passes through the air passages 24 and then reaches the outside through the collecting box 30 and the pipe socket 33 . Due to the heat exchange in the heat exchanger 7 , the cooled air coming from the evaporation stage 1 is heated again, while at the same time the air sucked in through the pipe socket 32 is cooled.
The air cooled in the evaporation stage 1 absorbs moisture due to its intimate contact with the evaporating liquid, so that the air flowing out through the pipe socket 31 has a greater absolute humidity than the air flowing in through the pipe socket 4 and therefore has a considerably greater relative humidity than this . For this reason, the warm air added to the pipe socket 4 is preferably taken from the outside atmosphere or any other environment and fed back through the pipe socket 31 by connecting both pipe sockets 4 , 31, for example, to pipes, hoses or the like leading to the outside atmosphere. In contrast, a heat exchange takes place in the heat exchanger 7 without significant moisture absorption or release by the air, ie without a significant change in the absolute humidity. Therefore, the air sucked in through the pipe socket 32 can be removed from the space to be cooled and fed back through the pipe socket 33 to the space to be cooled. As a result, the relative humidity in the room to be cooled will only change to the extent dependent on the temperature difference between warm and cooled air. It is possible to set up the heat exchange device outside of the room to be cooled and to connect the pipe sockets 32 , 33 by pipes, hoses or the like to the room to be cooled. The term "room" is of course also understood to mean apartments, buildings, halls or the like consisting of several rooms or the like, as long as these form a connected unit in terms of flow.
Alternatively, it would be possible to take the air sucked in through the pipe socket 4 from the space to be cooled and the air sucked in through the pipe socket 32 from the outside atmosphere, especially since pressure equalization will always take place through door and window gaps or the like, even if the Fans 34 , 35 promote different amounts of air. Depending on whether the change in air humidity can be tolerated or not, there are numerous other connection options.
AKZO, 42103 Wuppertal. The fleece 11 used in the evaporation stage 1 to form the heat exchange surface 8 is preferably a fiber fleece with a high liquid absorption capacity (eg 700% in the case of water). Nonwovens of this type are used for. B. from Kahnes, 66864 Kusel, ver. The spacer fabrics used for the spacers 14 are expediently those from AKZO, 42103 Wuppertal.
Bevorzugte Plattendicken sind dabei 0,2 bis 0,5 mm.The double wall plates 23 provided for the heat exchanger 7 are preferably made of one-piece plastic elements, cut to the required size and z. B. from Röhm GmbH, 64293 Darmstadt, in various sizes. Preferred plate thicknesses are 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
In a practical embodiment with a heat exchange surface 8 of approximately 17.5 square meters per broad side of the fleece 11 with a length of the air passages 12 of z. B. approx. 50 cm, a heat exchanger 7 with external dimensions of approx. 50 × 50 × 50 cm and with water as a liquid can be used when using commercially available pumps 22 or fans 34 , 35 with low electrical power consumption (approx. 50 to 75 watts achieve significant cooling capacities per pump or fan). These are at air flow rates of z. B. 150 m³ / h between the pipe socket 4 and 31 z. B. about 18 ° C (from 38 ° C to 20 ° C) when the fan 35 is turned off, the relative humidity at the same time by about 60% of z. B. 23% to 83% at the outlet of the pipe socket 31 increases. If, however, also the fan 35 turned on, then z between the pipe socket 32 and the 33rd B. achieved a cooling of the incoming air by about 12 ° C from 36 ° C to 24 ° C, while at the same time the relative humidity of z. B. increases 25% to 45%. In this case, the air entering and exiting through the pipe socket 4 and 31 is only a few degrees Celsius, for. B. cooled from 33 ° C to 27 ° C, while at the same time the relative humidity of z. B. 27% increases to 55%. From this it can be seen that the relative humidity of the air flowing through the air passages 24 of the heat exchanger 7 increases far less than that for the air flowing through the air passages 12 of the evaporation stage 1 in the event that the heat exchanger 7 is not present or by switching on the Ventila tors 35 is rendered ineffective.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment described, which can be modified in many ways. This applies above all to the specific geometric configuration of the evaporation stage 1 and the heat exchanger 7 , which have been shown and described only by way of example, but above all to the materials and other details given.
