Especially designed as a locomotive boiler with water tube boiler
Upper and lower drums arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the locomotive. the
The invention relates to those designed in particular as locomotive boilers
Water-tube boilers, the top and bottom parallel to the longitudinal axis of the locomotive
Own drums. The invention is primarily that in the boiler
through water pipes two dense, extending over the entire length of the boiler,
the grate and in a manner known per se an overheater or the like between them
inclusive
Walls are formed from which near the
Grate openings in itself essentially also over the entire length of the boiler
extending lateral flue gas paths lead, so that by closing one in known
Way arranged in the middle flue gas path device for regulating the flowing through
Flue gas volume The flue gases are forced directly from the grate into the side
Flue gas paths to flow away. This arrangement creates a special fire box
saved and a particularly simple and functional one. Guidance of the flue gases achieved.
3-3 bzw. 4-d. der Abb. i, beide von links gesehen. In the drawing is an embodiment of the subject matter of
Invention shown, namely Fig. R shows a vertical section of the boiler
and Fig. 2 is a horizontal section of the boiler, Fig.3 and .l are sections according to
3-3 or 4-d. of Fig. i, both seen from the left.
reicht.
The boiler has two upper drums A and A1 and two lower drums B and B1, which are connected to one another by water pipes. The furnace grate C, which extends as far as a fire bridge D, is arranged between the lower drums. The two upper drums A and Al are connected to a steam collector E by pipes el (Fig. I and 4). The water pipes f1, which are furthest away from the central longitudinal plane of the boiler, each form a tight pipe wall (see especially Fig. 2), which extends over the entire length of the jacket G of the boiler. The water pipes f2 lying next to the middle longitudinal plane also form a tight pipe wall over most of the length of the boiler. In a part of the fire box wall formed by the pipes f2, however, the pipes f2 are not close to one another (see Fig. 2), so that some of the fire gases can escape laterally through the fire box wall. In this way, the pipes f1 and f2 create three parallel heating rooms H, K and L in the boiler room, which are connected to the smoke chamber through openings g1, g2 and g3 of the boiler shell G. A number of full water pipes f3 (Fig. 2) of the boiler are designed as downpipes and are protected from the effects of the heat of the heating gases by fireproof walls 3-1 or N. In the heating room K there is a superheater P which is protected from the direct effects of thermal radiation from the furnace by a few water pipes fl (Fig.2). The opening g2 connecting the space K with the smoke chamber opens into a shaft R in which a throttle rattle 'is provided.
As . the whole arrangement works, needs no further explanation after the above. It should only be mentioned that when the throttle valve r1 is closed, i.e. when the heater is switched off, all flue gases pass through the fire box wall laterally into the boiler rooms H and L. Since the boiler's water pipe frames are all located in the two rooms H and L , the heat transfer to the water pipes is not impaired by switching off the superheater.
