Mobile receiving and conveying table for the still hot hollow glass plates.
For receiving and transporting the still produced on the glass rolling machine
Tables could previously be called, in particular the 'thin mirror glass plates
Do not use it with metal surfaces because it is already very sensitive
Heat can be quickly extracted from glass plates when they come into contact with the metal surface
would that the occurrence of dangerous voltages in the glass would be inevitable.
For this reason, up to now mobile tables with a surface have been used for this purpose
insulating material, e.g. B. chamotte used. The durability of these tables
but is relatively low, its weight due to the thickness of the insulating
Material layer very substantial and the permanent maintenance of an even surface
not possible. It also happens that the glass plates placed on such a table,
if the table has absorbed moisture from the air, which when it was applied
The heat of the plates vaporizes them and gives them large bumps that can be pushed in
the plates in the cooling furnace impossible and thus make the plates unusable.
The only way to get rid of this problem was to keep the tables underneath
great heat, but this required the installation of special heating ovens, and that one
the insulating material layer burned very high, which makes it more durable
was very limited.
Contrary to the above-mentioned, in itself justified prejudice against
the use of metal tables is made according to the invention by the fireclay panel
replaced a metal plate, which thereby made it suitable for receiving the glass plates
is that their contact area with this reduced to the lowest possible level
is by using metal plates with a generally flat surface
Projections, e.g. B. with narrow corrugations, ridges, points o. The like., Is covered. As a result
the small contact area between the glass and these corrugations, ridges or
Tips finds only a small, no longer harmful heat dissipation from the
Instead, glass the layer of air between the ridges, ridges, or points
Rather, it forms an insulation against heat dissipation, which prevents the development of tension
counteracts. The new tables are almost indefinitely durable and much lighter
than the fireclay tables used so far.
The use of metal tables with uneven surfaces is in itself
not new; it was previously proposed for the rolling tables at rest
which poured the liquid glass from the port for the purpose of rolling out and on
where it was then rolled out, however, required the depressions to be filled
with sand or the like, so as not to let the glass enter the depressions. A
However, success was not achieved because the filler material always came from the depressions
was pushed out.
In contrast, the present invention is about protection
an almost rigid, but still hot glass plate against rapid heat extraction
through the metal, and the reduction in the contact area is made thanks to the advanced
Solidification of the glass surface actually achieved. So purpose and effect are
in the two cases quite different.
