Abstract

The training control compares the actual pulse frequency (f0) of the user with a required pulse frequency (f1, f2). The difference obtained is used for load regulation of the training device via an amplifier (5) and an electromagnetic brake (4). The training interval values are provided as factors (k1, k2) for the high loading and recovery phases used to calculate the required pulse frequency from a pulse frequency (t) supplied from a source (10). ADVANTAGE - Allows training to be adapted to each user for preventing excessive exertion.

Description

The invention relates to the control of a training device for interval training according to the generic term of Claim 1.

Devices for physical exercise are common used in sports as exercise equipment, at home as Exercise bike, in rehabilitation and medical practice as Ergometer. Most devices come with a measuring device equipped for the actual pulse rate of the exerciser. A Electronics installed in the device monitor the pulse frequency and gives a value to be entered by the doctor when exceeded Maximum values either an alarm or reduces the Effect of the braking device built into the device and thus the physical effort to be exerted by the patient. In order to should be a physical overload of the exerciser be prevented.

The optimal or maximum for the individual exerciser Training pulse rates must be determined by the trainer or doctor can be specified individually. This can be in the base only on his experience. But there are procedures have also already been proposed (DE-PS 35 46 569), with their help the optimal training pulse rate for everyone individual exercisers calculated with the help of a computer can be.

It is also known that interval training in which Intervals of increased performance requirements with Alternate recovery intervals to a faster and leads to better training success than that Continuous performance training. Amount and duration of the load during the performance period on the one hand and the recovery period on the other hand, the trainer or doctor due to Experience values given. With these devices is  Usually no measuring device for the actual pulse frequency of the exerciser so that the braking effect of the Device in the high load phase not reduced and that Training program is impaired.

The present invention is therefore based on the object Control of training devices for interval training improve the type mentioned in that a optimally successful interval training is possible.

This problem is solved by a generic Control with the features according to the characterizing part of the claim 1.

In the control according to the invention, the values for Performance and recovery phases no more than Performance data for the brake of the training device, but as target pulse rate values. It is like in Interval training is common during the performance phase Performance to be performed by the trainee on the value of his individual continuous output increased during the Recovery phase reduced accordingly. For this reason are preferably not the target pulse frequency values themselves entered, but the factors by which the individual Continuous power pulse frequency value of the exerciser is multiplied by the respective target pulse rate value to obtain. The individually correct value of The trainer or doctor has been using continuous power pulse frequency so far entered based on his experience or with one of the known methods (DE-OS 38 10 042, DE-PS 35 46 569) automatically determined. In particular, now is also a possible underload of the trainee and one of them resulting insufficient training success is recognized and Fixed.

By specifying the interval pulse frequencies instead of  Interval braking performance values the organism of the Exercising for the first time in the control loop of Training device looped in. The control system regulates no longer the training device as before, but the Organism or its pulse rate. This will make the Organism optimal in the different training phases burdened; Overloads are excluded as well Underloads.

In principle, other body reactions of the Trainees are evaluated, e.g. B. the Blood oxygen content, respiratory rate, etc .; the pulse rate has however proven to be optimal.

Based on the drawing, the invention in the form of a Embodiment will be explained.

A schematic representation of a training device for interval training in the form of a bicycle ergometer with a bicycle 1 to be operated by the exerciser with pedals and an endless chain 2 for power transmission to a brake wheel 3 can be seen . In this case, the braking effect is generated with the aid of an electromagnet 4 , which is fed from a suitable power amplifier 5 . The power amplifier 5 is controlled via control electronics 6 with a target-actual comparator for the actual value f0 and the target values f1, f2 of the pulse frequency.

Diese rechnet anhand der ihr einprogrammierten Faktoren K1, K2 die vom Pulsfrequenzgeber 10 gelieferte Dauerleistungspulsfrequenz f um in die Soll-Pulsfrequenzwerte f1, f2.The actual pulse frequency f0 of the exercising person, symbolized here by his heart 8 , is recorded by a pulse frequency meter 7 and reported to the control electronics 6 as an electrical signal. The target pulse frequencies f1, f2 for the high-performance or recovery phase are supplied by a computing unit 9 . Using the factors K1, K2 programmed into it, this converts the continuous power pulse frequency f delivered by the pulse frequency generator 10 into the desired pulse frequency values f1, f2.

As the figure clearly shows, the organism of the exercising person, symbolized here by his heart 8 , is looped into the closed control loop of the training device. The reaction of the organism to the given training program is thus completely recorded and implemented in an optimal training process with optimal training success.

It is understood that the numerical values of the factors K1, K2 can be changed if necessary. It also goes without saying that the computing unit 9 and the pulse frequency generator 10 can also be combined, so that the target pulse frequencies f1, f2 can also be input directly as absolute values.
