an.
unteren Schichten wieder kondensiert.
Smoldering process for peat, wood, slate and the like. A well-known process
for smoldering peat, wood, slate and the like is based on the LIeiler method
at. The substances to be carbonized are located in a cylindrical shaft furnace,
in which combustion gases of a grate furnace are passed at the upper end, which through
an air extractor sucked through the entire layer height and at the lower end of the oven
be discharged with the smoldering gases. This smoldering furnace works perfectly when
the furnace height does not exceed a certain allowance, so that the sucked-in combustion gases
Heat the roast almost evenly over the entire height. But exceeds that
Height of these ovens a certain amount, so the sucked in gases give their heat in
the upper layers, while the temperature of the lower layers initially remains unchanged
remains so that the temperature curve in the lower part of the furnace is a minimum and in
The upper part of the furnace has a maximum that is reached with the continuation of the smoldering process
gradually migrates downwards. As a result, "the water and tar vapors earth,
which are excreted from the smoldering in the upper layers, in the cooler ones
lower layers condensed again. The consequence of this is that these condensed again
Vapors have to be evaporated again and the smoldering material as a result of the precipitation
tar vapors stick together and prevent the regulated passage of gases.
The ovens become uneconomical due to the high heat consumption and result in malfunctions.
If you want to avoid both, the dimensions of this oven may be a certain one
Do not exceed the maximum. By restricting such furnace to one
A certain maximum is required that to achieve the same performance one
larger number of smaller furnaces is required, so that greater investment capital requirements and, consequently, are required
the product also becomes more expensive.
Beim
Erhitzen der zweiten, dritten; vierten us"v.
kennen, sondern unmittelbar abgesaugt «-erden.The present invention aims to overcome the drawbacks associated with such
Smoldering furnaces of larger dimensions result in eliminating and making it possible for such
Smoldering furnaces of any size can be produced. For this purpose it will be different
from the previous process, the oven with the smoldering material is not complete from the outset
filled, but only made a partial filling. After this partial filling a
When the temperature has reached about 2oo °, the introduction of hot gases is interrupted
and introduced a second partial filling of approximately the same amount that again
is heated up to 200 °, whereupon the process is interrupted again, etc. When
Heating the second, third; fourth us "v. filling enter the freshly formed
Water vapors that have a temperature of about: oo`, in layers of higher temperature,
so that, like the first tar vapors formed, they cannot condense,
but are sucked off immediately. After following this procedure the oven is whole
is filled, there is a
Temperature curve formed that
falls from aoo ° of the top layer to about zzo ° of the bottom layer; now will
the actual smoldering process continued. Since now there are no more water vapors,
which can cause a drop in temperature, remains even if the temperature rises
up to about 600 ° the temperature gradient is as small as it is after the end of the water process
so that the smoldering of the brought in goods does not gradually rise from the top
below, but at the same time in full height and also at temperatures
over aoo ° forming tars no longer condense in the lower layers
know, but immediately sucked off «-earth.
This method also has the advantage that the Schwelgut the first
Layers when introducing the upper layers as a result of the dehydration
has shrunk so that the total filling of the furnace for one load is larger
becomes like filling the oven completely from the start. For the same smoldering time
this means an increase in performance of about q.o percent.
This working method, therefore, includes the condensation of the formed
Water and tar vapors from within the furnace and allows such smoldering ovens
can be used in any size.
