Die Erfindung betrifft einen elektrischen Antrieb für freischwingende Plansichter, bei denen man bisher schon das Gehäuse mit einem Schwunggewicht versehen hat, um die exzentrische Einstellung des Plansichters herbeizufühxem.. Bisher war aber dieses Schwunggewicht fest mit dem Gehäuse des Motors verbunden. Das Anlaufen des Plansichters machte daher besonders bei größeren Ausführungen Schwierigkeiten, weil der Antrieb bei jedem Plansichter .erst nach einer gewissen Zeit diejenige Umdrehungszahl annimmt, durch welche der Gleichgewichtszustand erreicht wird, welcher der 'Energie des Schwunggewichtes entspricht.
