Der Zerstäuber ist als hohler zylindrischer Körper ausgeführt und von zahlreichen Stäben durchquert, die 'anfangs größere und nach dem Ende zu kleinere Abstände voneinander haben. Er ist unter dem Pufferträger angebracht, und die Verbindung zwischen Abscheider a und Zerstäuber c wird durch ein Rohr b hergestellt. Der Eintritt des Fliehkraftabscheiders sowie das Blasrohr d sind nach unten gerichtet, so daß auch die Flugasche oder Rauchkammerlösche fortwährend abgeführt wird. Auf dem Wege vom Abscheider a bis zum Zerstäuber c findet bereits durch die starke Reibung an den Wanderungen eine teilweise Zerkleinerung der asche statt. Im Zerstäuber selbst werden dann die Rückstände mit hoher Geschwindigkeit gegen die Stäbe geschleudert und vollkommen zerstäubt. Der Staub besitzt keine Zündfähigkeit mehr und pufft nach unten aus.
