Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a motor vehicle rear-view mirror with a reflector on a plastic tray for ver bond is attached to a carrier.
In known rear-view mirrors, the reflector is on the shell attached to a relatively expensive system, the Life is sometimes limited and for a series production is badly suited. In a well known rearview mirror is the reflector on the shell using an adhesive layer glued on. This attachment is not reliable, however the adhesive conditions are not always constant and because of that Adhesive decomposes over time.
The object of the invention is therefore to suit a rearview mirror ben who the above-mentioned disadvantages of the known Rückspie gel avoids.
This object is achieved with a rearview mirror according to the invention with a reflector on a plastic tray for ver binding with a carrier sits, solved by the fact that the shell has detachable retaining means on its edge that are suitable are to press against the circumference of the reflector and on the overlap its front.
Preferably the bottom of the bowl has a number of ela ribs that press on the back of the reflector and thus its stable and vibration-free attachment si chern.
The invention is based on two preferred Aus management forms explained in more detail with the aid of the drawings.

In Fig. 1 a housing 10 is seen for a rear mirror 11. The housing 10 is pivotally mounted in a known manner on a mounting arm 12 which is part of the structure of the vehicle. The arm contains a housing 13 in which the mechanism for the orientation of the mirror 11 is brought under. For this purpose, the mirror 11 is attached to a plate 14 attached to the housing 13 in a known manner via a central ball joint 16 and two columns 17 . The Säu len each have a spherical head 18 which is in engagement with a corresponding seat 19 of the plate 14 . The columns 17 can be adjusted axially, for example with the aid of two small electric motors arranged in the housing 13 . The seats 19 lie in two different horizontal planes, such that the combination of the displacement of the two columns 17 causes an orientation of the mirror 11 about two mutually perpendicular and through the ball joint 16 ver running axes in the plane of the plate 14 .
The rearview mirror 11 has a reflector 21 , for example a glass plate, the rear side 22 of which has been made opaque, so that the front side 23 has a reflective effect. The reflector 21 is fixed in a shell 24 , which consists of plastic, for example from the material commercially available under the name ABS. The reflector 21 and the shell 24 ( FIGS. 2 and 4) have a substantially rectangular shape, the four corners being rounded. The shell 24 has a bottom 26 ( FIGS. 3 and 5) which is delimited in the circumferential direction by an edge 27 which encompasses the entire circumference of the reflector 21 . The shell 24 is provided with releasable fixed holding means that press against the circumference of the reflector 21 .
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, these retaining means consist of a series of hooks 28 with an L-shaped cross section. Each hook 28 is provided with a projection 29 which engages on the front surface 23 of the reflector 21 . The hooks 28 form a casting with the shell 24 and are each formed by two incisions 31 in the edge 27 . In particular, two incisions 31 and a hook 28 are provided on each of the four sides of the rectangle of the shell 24 . The reflector 21 is mounted on the tray 24 by being pressed with its periphery against the hooks 28 of the shell 24th The latter are elastically deformed until the cracks 29 lie on the front surface 23 of the reflector 21 .
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 to 8, the retaining means consist of a continuous projection 32 , which is part of the edge 27 of the shell 24 . In this case too, the reflector 21 is held in place by pressing into the shell 24 in the projection 32 of the shell 24 . The reflector 21 allows the edge 27 to deform elastically until the jump 32 comes to rest on the front surface 23 of the reflector 21 .
The bottom 26 of the shell 24 contains a circular central area 33 (FIGS . 3 and 5), the front surface of which serves as a contact surface for the rear of the reflector 21 . The area 33 is provided with two pairs of horizontal ribs 34 and 36 , and at the level of these ribs the bottom 26 is provided with a C-shaped cutout 37 , which delimits a corresponding elastic rib 38 . The free edge of each of the ribs 38 is provided with an elevation 39 parallel to the ribs 34 and 36 , the front surface of which protrudes slightly above the surface of the circular region 33 ( FIGS. 7 and 8). Each rib 38 with the corresponding increase 39 thus forms an elastic support for the back 22 of the reflector 21 on the shell 24th This elastic pad compensates any play between the reflector 21 and the shell 24 , including the tolerances in the thickness of the reflector 21 or the height of the projection 29 or 32 with respect to the upper surface of the area 33 . This results in an attachment of the reflector 21 on the shell 24 , which is free of play in any direction and is therefore extremely stable and vibration-free.
To the rear, the central region 33 ( FIG. 6) of the base 26 extends into a base 41 , the edge 42 of which can rest against the surface of the plate 14 ( FIG. 1). The base 41 ( Fig. 6) is provided with a series of cuts 43 in the circumferential direction, which give the system on the plate 14 an elasticity.
The bottom 26 of the shell 24 in FIG. 3 is also provided with two windows 44 and 46 for the passage of the fastening elements with the plate 14 ( FIG. 1). The bottom 26 of the bowl 24 in FIGS. 5 and 6 is also provided with two fastening elements 47 and 48 , which are part of the bottom and by means of which it is fastened to the plate 14 ( FIG. 1). In an upper zone of the bottom 26 of the bowl 24 , near the edge 27 , there is a hole 49 through which any tool (not shown) for releasing the reflector from the bowl 24 can be inserted.
From the above it is clear that the rearview mirror 11 according to the invention is extremely simple, does not require any chemical glue or heat treatment and is therefore accessible to automatic production by means of simple manipulators or robots.
Within the scope of the invention, the number and the position of the elastic hooks 28 and / or the elastic ribs 38 can be changed.
