Diese bekannte Ausbildung weist eine Reihe von Nachteilen auf. Als Hauptnachteil ist anzuführen die erhebliche Geräuschbil dung, die insbesondere vom Kolbenkompressor ausgeht. Erforderlich ist daher eine Geräuschdämmung. Für den Antrieb des Kolbenkompressors ist ein gesonderter Elektromotor erforderlich. Durch den Kompressor wird der Schlitten der Schneeka none in Schwingungen versetzt, was insbesondere beim Betrieb der Schneekanone in steilen Gelände nachteilig ist, da die Gefahr besteht, daß sich der Schlitten infolge der Vibrationen ungewollt in Bewegung setzt. Da der Schraubenkompressor 6 von der Luft des Luftgebläses umströmt wird, ist seine Kühlung ohne zusätzliche Maßnahmen sichergestellt. Da der Schraubenkompressor 6 nur umlaufende Teile besitzt, sind die von ihm ausge henden Vibriationen vernachlässigbar gering. Die vom Kompressor 6 komprimierte und somit erwähnte Luft wird beim Durchgang durch die Kühlschlangen 11 intensiv durch den Luftstrom gekühlt, der vom Luftgebläse 2, 3 erzeugt wird.
