Die als Ausführungsbeispiel der Erfindung gezeigte Vor­ richtung zum gleichzeitigen Trennschneiden und Verprägen ist einer Maschine zur Herstellung von Damenbinden nach­ geschaltet und stellt dort einen Bestandteil einer An­ lage zur Einzelverpackung dieser Binden dar. In einer dem Erfindungsgegenstand vorgeschalteten und hier nicht dargestellten Einrichtung werden die Binden zunächst in einer Folie eingehüllt. Der dadurch entstehende Schlauch 1 mit den darin enthaltenen, gegenseitig be­ abstandeten Binden 2 wird über eine Transportein­ richtung, bestehend aus den Gurten 3 und 4 den Werk­ zeugen zum gleichzeitigen Verprägen und Trennschneiden zugeführt. Diese bestehen aus zwei Prägewalzen 5 und 6, die jeweils vier beheizbare Prägebackenpaare 7, 7′ und 8, 8′ tragen. Der Bereich zwischen den Prägebackenpaaren 7 und 7′ bzw. 8 und 8′ ist als Nut ausgebildet und dient, im Falle der oberen Prägewalze 5, zur Aufnahme eines Messers 9 im Falle der unteren Walze 6 zur Auf­ nahme eines Gegenwerkzeuges 10, das durch eine weiche, gummiartige Leiste gebildet wird. Das Messer 9 ist aus verschleißfestem, gehärteten Stahl gefertigt und weist, wie aus Fig. 3 ersichtlich, eine gezahnte Klinge auf. Aus fertigungstechnischen Gründen sind die zur Werk­ zeugaufnahme dienenden Nuten in beiden Prägewalzen 5 und 6 gleich breit hergestellt. Das Gegenwerkzeug 10 ist in seiner Breite der aufnehmenden Nut ange­ glichen, das schmale Messer 9 ist zwischen Leisten 11 und 12 gehalten, die die fehlende Breite des Messers ergänzen. Sowohl Messer 9 als auch Gegenwerkzeug 10 sind durch Schrauben 13 in ihren Nuten fixiert. Aus­ gangseitig der Prägewalzen 5 und 6 ist eine weitere Transporteinrichtung 14 zur Abfuhr der nunmehr einzeln verpackten Binden 2′ angeordnet.The device shown as an embodiment of the invention for simultaneous cutting and embossing is connected to a machine for the production of sanitary napkins and there is part of a system for the individual packaging of these sanitary napkins. Die Wirkungsweise der soweit in ihren wesentlichen Be­ standteilen beschriebenen Vorrichtung zum gleichzeitigen Trennschneiden und Verprägen ist folgende: Die von einem Folienschlauch 1 umhüllten, gegenseitig beabstandeten Binden 2 werden zwischen den Gurten 3 und 4 den Prägewalzen 5 und 6 zugeführt. Drehzahl und Phasenlage der Prägewalzen sind so gewählt, daß die Prägebackenpaare 7, 7′ und 8, 8′ jeweils mittig im Be­ reich der zwischen den Binden 2 vorhandenen Lücken auf­ einander treffen. Dabei wird nicht nur der Folien­ schlauch 1 querversiegelt, sondern er wird auch gleich­ zeitig quer durchtrennt, da das gezackte Messer 9 wäh­ rend des Abrollvorganges zunächst mit seinen Spitzen und dann zunehmend über seine Gesamtlänge durch den Folienschlauch hindurchstößt und in das als weiche Gummileiste ausgebildete Gegenwerkzeug 10 eindringt. Bei diesem kombinierten Präge/Schneidvorgang ent­ stehen kissenartige Einzelpakete 15, jeweils bestehend aus einer mit Folie umhüllten Einzelbinde. Die aus­ gangseitig der Prägewalzen 5 und 6 angeordnete Trans­ porteinrichtung 14 übernimmt diese Einzelpakete 15 und führt sie einer, hier nicht dargestellten nach­ geschalteten Einrichtung, z. Vorrichtung zum gleichzeitigen Trennschneiden und Verprägen, insbesondere von schlauchförmiger Verpackungsfolie, die einzelne, zueinander beabstandete Gegenstände umhüllt, be­ stehend aus zwei Walzen, die je mindestens ein Prägebacken­ paar tragen, die im Walzenspalt aufeinander abrollen und zwischen denen ein Trennmesser oder ein Gegenwerkzeug an­ geordnet ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, das Trennmesser (9) und/oder Gegenwerkzeug (10) über die Prägebackenpaare (7, 7′ und 8, 8′) hinausragen und daß das Trennmesser (9) aus einem harten, verschleißfesten, das Gegenwerkzeug (10) aus einem weichen, das beschädigungsfreie Eindringen des Trennmessers erlaubenden, Werkstoff besteht.1.
