Verfahren zum Erzeugen von Koksbriketten. Zweck der Erfindung ist, den bisher bei Kokereien und Gasanstalten bestehenden Übelstand der mangelnden ausreichenden Verwertbarkeit der in verhältnismäßig großen :Mengen in der Form von Staub, Grieß oder klein anfallenden Koksabfälle zu beseitigen. Versuche, mit den bisher bekannten 'Mitteln brauchbare Koksbrikette zu erzielen, mußten aus folgenden Gründen mißlingen: Bei der Herstellung solcher Brikette muß ein Bindemittel verwendet -werden, das ein organisches oder ein anorganisches sein kann. Durch die Verwendung organischer Bindemittel, wie Teer, Pech o. dgl., die selbst Brennstoffe sind, verändert sich der Charakter des zu brikettierenden Kokses; es entsteht ein Mischbrikett, bei dem der als Bindemittel dienende reiche Brennstoff mit lang`' Flamme ausbrennt, während der schwer brennende Koks nur unvollkommen verbrannt -wird. Will man also ein Brikett herstellen, das als einzigen Brennstoff Koks enthält, so muß man anorganische Bindemittel verwenden. Diese -wirken jedoch schlackebildend und porenverstopfend, so daß der Abbrand von außen nach innen stark behindert wird und meist ein schlackenumhüllter Kern von Brennstoff verbleibt, der nicht verbrannt werden kann.
