Plant for the rapid extraction of ring-suitable sod. Purpose of the facility
is the rapid extraction of peat soils with the lowest possible water content, so
that when they leave the plant, they are placed on top of one another for further drying
can be.
This goal is achieved by the fact that from the peat mass, which
located in the cylinders 2 of the drainage apparatus (Fig. i and 2), through low,
sustained pressure water is squeezed out. Experiments have shown that
low, sustained pressure makes the water easier to remove from the peat mass
lets than through high and short. In any case, it says in systems with high pressures
the work involved in no relation to the performance achieved. aside from that
If you press high pressure, the fine, muddy, but valuable peat mass is mostly
pressed out with it, so that almost only the coarser, inferior: leave remains behind.
Die Druckspindel i i, welche am oberen
The drainage apparatus (Fig. I and 2) consists mainly of the cylinder holding board i with the cylinders 2 and the piston holding ring -, with the piston 4 .. The cylinders are at the lower end by bottom flaps 5, which by means of hinges 6 and pawls 7 on the cylinders 2 are attached, completed. The cylinders and bottom flaps are made from perforated sheet metal. The connecting bolts 8, which are fastened in the traverse 9, go through guide bushes of the piston and cylinder holding board. The connection between the traverse and the cylinder holding board is established by latches io on the cylinder holding board, which engage in notches in the connecting rods. The pressure spindle ii, which carries the gear 12 at the upper end, is mounted in the traverse. The spindle nut 13, however, is located in the piston holding board. By turning the spindle on the gear wheel, the pistons are guided into the cylinders and the peat mass in the cylinders is thereby compressed. In order to achieve elastic pressure, the compression springs 1 4 can be attached to the connecting rods on the traverse. In order to generate a low, constant pressure, the spindle is rotated temporarily, whereby the springs 14 are re-tensioned. To hang the apparatus on the support cable 15 of a cable car, the suspension frame 16 with the rollers 17 is attached to the traverse. The apparatus is fastened to the pulling rope i9 by means of the rope clamp 18.
bewirkt.
The Fig.3 and, 4 represent a system for the extraction of ringlets

consist of the fixed rails 36, which are in the vertical direction by levers

erforderlich.
Experiments have shown that for sufficient drainage of the sod, the same must be under pressure for 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the nature of the peat. In order to achieve an hourly output of 5,000 sods or 1,000 kg of dry peat, 2,500 cylinders or 250 dewatering devices would be required. Since they run on the rope at intervals of about im, a length of the cable car of about 25o m would be required. An increase in performance would also be possible by extending the cable car.
