Gerblösung gebracht, nachdem man letztere zuvor mit zo kg Soda neutralisiert hat.
Die Gerbbrühe wird durch Zusatz einer konzentrierten Stammlösung während einer Zeit
von 3 bis Monaten auf gleicher Stärke gehalten. Die nun durchgegerbte Blöße wird
gewässert, getrocknet unrl gewalzt. Die Lederausbeute beträgt 6o Prozent der angewandten
nassen Blöße. Beispie12. roo kg Quebracho werden in rooo 1 heißem Wasser gelöst,
mit der gleichen Menge kalten Wassers verdünnt und mit gasförmigem Chlor behandelt.
Im Verlauf der Chlorierung steigt die Temperatur auf etwa 6o°. Nach Aufhören der
Chlorabsorption wird der abgetrennte Niederschlag in 20prozentiger Salzsäure suspendiert,
mit 5 Prozent seines Gewichts an Kalziumchlorat nachoxydiert, abgerutscht, mit Salzsäure
gewaschen und getrocknet.
Der Chlorgehalt beträgt etwa 35 Prozent,
