Recooling device for transformers with oil circulation and external water cooling,

Water passes into the oil. For transformers with water cooling and in the transformer vessel
arranged cooling coil are such safety precautions in patent 287145,
Claim 2 and patent; 42G29 described. They consist of either in the at
the oil spaces adjacent to the water space to increase the oil pressure against the water pressure
or to create a negative pressure in the ZVasserraum, so that in the event of leaks

an.The invention now relates to a special device for permanently securing the originally existing operating state. For this purpose, a known pressure equalization vessel or standpipe is installed in the water supply line to the cooler, e.g. B. consisting of a pot with an overflow, so that the water level can not rise higher than this overflow. This makes it impossible under all circumstances to increase the pressure above a predetermined level. If the oil level in the main oil tank is lt (Fig. T) higher than the water level in the pressure equalization tank, the pressure in the oil chamber of the cooler must remain at least lt higher than in the water chamber in all operating states. Fig. T shows the new arrangement schematically. It is a the oil recooler, b the transformer oil box, c the oil pump, d the water pressure equalization vessel, e the oil inflow line to the cooler, f the oil outflow line from the cooler, g the water inflow line to the cooler, 1 the water outflow line from the cooler, k the overflow pipe of the pressure equalization vessel. The arrows indicate the flow directions.
The safety device can also be designed in such a way that the pressure compensation vessel is relocated to a certain extent in the cooler itself, that is, connects the cooler to the atmospheric air at the water inlet point and attaches an overflow pipe to the highest water level that one wants to allow. Fig. 2 shows an exemplary embodiment for this, and in this case the pressure limitation in the water space is achieved by simply opening the cooler on the water inlet side. The same service would be done by an open-topped riser pipe attached to the radiator. The inflows and outflows on the cooler are indicated in Fig.2 in accordance with Fig. T, and further d is that on the cooler a. attached water pressure equalization vessel with the overflow pipe k. L denotes the tube bundle located in the cooler, through which water flows on the inside and is surrounded by oil on the outside.
As a particular advantage of the transformer described above
with oil recooling should also be mentioned that so-called. Water hammer like in
closed pipelines due to switching operations and the like. Can occur in the water room
of the cooler are excluded, as these shocks are absorbed by the pressure equalization vessel
will.
