Wachsplastik.
Wax sculpture. Up until now it was common to use wax sculptures such as figures, dolls,
Vases, reliefs, flowers and the like, to be made in such a way - that a wax casting of
outside was painted. The wax casting itself was either full or at least considerably thick-walled.
The stability of the cast figure was due to the thickness of the wax. the
The exterior painting was subject to multiple changes, as it changed through the atmospheric lilies
and by external, also unintended mechanical influences, such as attacking with
Fingers and the like.
The innovation described below avoids these inconveniences
and allows wax sculptures to be produced that use significantly less wax
require and thereby increased aesthetic effects in relation to the coloring
and allow the tint to be achieved.
The innovation is shown in the figure, for example, in one embodiment. The innovation is that the plastic to be produced is first made as a thin-walled wax casting. These thin-walled Wachsgußschicht's waste education time called for. The wax casting is then painted from the inside: The painting is indicated in the illustration by layer 2, for example. The remaining cavity is then filled with plaster of paris 3.
The advantages of this type of wax sculptures are considerable. The plaster core
3 connects intimately with the paint layer 2, so that the plastic is an essential
higher strength compared to fully poured or thick-walled wax sculptures
having. The latter very often cracks in the wax after a short period of use,
which are not found in the sculptures produced according to the present innovation.
The painting of the thin-walled hollow wax body from the inside leaves the delicacy of the
'Material is much finer in terms of the tinting of the colors than
This is possible with wax sculptures painted from the outside, since the latter is through
the external painting the surface stimulus of the wax is lost again. In addition, is
The painting in the new type of plastic is withdrawn from external damaging influences.
