Abstract

The electronic lock incorporates a latch (203) and a bar (205) which can be withdrawn together from the inside by means of a mechanical lever with two nuts (219,285) in the event of a defect in the electronic control. From the outside, the bar (205) is locked by means of an electronic key (229) controlling a motor (221) which moves the bar (205) and latch (203) in the direction of opening. The bar (205) is restrained by a pawl (259) and its travel is shortened by a swing lever (277) pivoted about an axis (279). The latch (203) is withdrawn when the bar (205) has moved through the full distance.
