Abstract

The television receiver or loudspeaker housing is assembled from a number of panels (6) which are made of fibrous plaster board or cemented wood chip board. The panels are pref. covered with an external wood or decorative veneer foil (7) which extends around the corners of the housing without any break. Pref. the housing is formed by using a blank which has a continuous veneer foil with a series of attached panels on one side positioned to obtain gaps between them to allow the blank to be bent round to bring the panels into the required configuration. The gaps between the panels may be provided via a milling machine to leave a number of reduced height ribs (9) between which an adhesive mass (10) can be injected.
