Description

Process for the production of colloidal yellow iodine mercury. In the main patent as well as in the i. Additional patent 383774 is a method of manufacture from colloidal yellow iodine mercury description: precisely, which is characterized by that one dissolved mercury salts in the presence of a protective colloid by precipitation converted into iodide. It has now been further shown that in the case of special strong protective colloids of the type of ivsalbinic or protalbinic acid Sodium is not necessary to start from soluble nucksill; ersalzen, but that In this case, red mercury iodide is immediately mixed with the finest mezhan Distribution in highly dispersed yellow iodine mercury. One moves in the following way, for example: In a solution with about a percent sodium lysalbinic acid red iodine mercury is crushed for hours by shaking or grinding with glass beads; a red suspension usually forms, which turns into sediment when standing of unchanged red mercury iodide separates, while the supernatant liquid forms a yellow, highly dispersed sol of iodine mercury. In the dark field this shows Solution very small submicrons with strong Brownian motion.
