Das Heizgerät 1 zeigt einen Brenner 2, einen Wärmetauscher 3, der aus einem heiße Gase führenden Teil und einem Wärmetransportmedium führenden Teil 5 besteht. An das Gerät ist eine Zufuhrleitung 7 für das Heizungssystem und eine Rücklaufleitung 6 angeschlossen. Der heiße Gase führende Teil besteht aus parallelen Lamellen 8, 8′, 8′′ ..., die mittels der Wand 9 miteinander verbunden sind. Erfindungsgemäß sind die Wand 9 und die Lamellen 8, 8′, 8′′ ... sowie die Begrenzungswände des das Wärmetransportmedium führenden Teils 5 als ein Ganzes durch Extrusion aus Aluminium hergestellt oder aus mehreren Extrusionsteilen zusammengesetzt. Auf die übliche Weise wird durch die Kraftstoffleitung, zum Beispiel Gas 10 Kraftstoff zugeführt und im Brenner 2 verbrannt. Die heißen Gase bewegen sich danach senkrecht nach unten entlang den Lamellen 8, 8′, 8′′... und heizen dabei die Wand 9, die ebenfalls eine Begrenzungswand des das Wärmetransportmedium führenden Teils 5 bildet. Mach dem Gegenstromprinzip wird das Wärmetransportmedium in Aufwärtsrichtung durch den Teil 5 transportiert. Weil die Verbrennungsgase abwärts strömen, kann Kondenswasser einfach abgeleitet werden. Erfindungsgemäß sind weiter in dem heiße Gase führenden Teil 3 waagerechte Leitwände 11, 11′, 11′′ ... angebracht, so daß die heißen Gase eine meanderförmige Strecke durch den Wärmetauscher zurücklegen müssen. Dank dieser Maßnahme ist die Strecke für die heißen Gase erheblich verlängert und wird infolgedessen die Wärmeübertragung verbessert. Mit entsprechendem Zweck können in dem das Wärmetransportmedium führenden Teil 5 senkrecht verlaufende parallele Rippen 12, 12′, 12″, ... angebracht sein, die ebenfalls mit einigermaßen schräg verlaufenden Leitwänden 13, 13′, 13′′ ... versehen sein können.
