Abstract

Device for keeping persons awake by pressing with the thumb in a socket on a thumb-pressure bar and consequently on a rubber or a compression spring which, when pressure on a steel band with the index finger of the right or left hand becomes too weak because the person is falling asleep, endeavour to press the thumb against a tip of a screw which causes pain so as to keep the person awake and prevent him from falling asleep. For this purpose, a pointed screw and, on the latter, a pointed nut are, in practice, adjustable and the thumb-pressure bar, because it is guided slidably on four sides, cannot tip over, jam or catch. The constant gentle pressure of the steel band protects the thumb against stress.

Claims

1.
