Abstract

A new type of fondue apparatus with a special pot having supporting guide grooves for the forks, and also a turntable for side dishes and a hydraulically height-adjustable spirit burner, as a compact apparatus. The pot has, at the top, sloping supporting guide grooves for the forks, so that the forks are immovably supported and do not get mixed up, and in addition the latter can no longer fall to the bottom of the pot owing to the sloping support, and the pieces of meat do not burn. By an overlap of the guide grooves towards the pot interior, hot oil or hot soup are prevented from spattering out and overflowing. In the compact lower part of the apparatus, there is situated a spirit burner, the height of which can be regulated by an adjusting knob via a small hydraulic mechanism, so that it is no longer necessary to adjust the spirit burner by hand (flame regulation). A turntable for all side dishes (sauces, types of meat, etc.) is seated on support rollers on the lower part of the compact apparatus. The "muddle" of the many individual loose side-dish plates is thus dispensed with. A plurality of guide openings, in which the unused forks can be placed, are situated all around the lower part of the apparatus.
