Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a preferably in the backrest of a motor vehicle integrated, fold-out armrest. Such armrests are generally known and preferably to be found in the upper vehicle classes.
The problem with such armrests is that they are considered in an accident act unchecked mass and thereby u. May cause damage. So z. B. an unused, so folded, armrest at one Fold out the front impact suddenly.
The invention is based on the object, a fold-out armrest to design that in an accident, more precisely in a frontal impact or a rear impact, the armrest is locked in its respective position.
This task is gem. of the invention solved by the in the labeling part of the measures specified in claim 1.
The armrest is rotatable on two connected to the backrest Legs stored. Both sides of the armrest are concentric to the The fulcrum each has a locking disc screwed on. The penetrate Connection screws of the locking washers in the legs provided Elongated holes, which also serve as rotation limits for the two end positions folded in and served out. Around those with ratchet teeth Locking washers are arranged with their mass links Engage ratchet teeth in the ratchet washers if one is a given dimension deceleration / acceleration exceeding the mass of the Bar mass links acts. With a construction that is as large as possible Distance from the center of gravity to the pivot point becomes a favorable response sensitivity reached.
In normal driving, the armrest can be swung in and out unhindered. If the vehicle experiences a stronger impact, the transom-mass links react immediately by swinging out. The gearing engages and the armrest is locked in its current position. For example, a collapsed armrest cannot knock out like a hammer in a frontal crash, and an unfolded armrest cannot collapse in a rear impact.
Es zeigtSome embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings. It shows

Fig. 1 shows a reasonable arrangement of 4 bar-mass members (1 a, 1 b) concentric to the locking disc 5. Each two links 1 a and 1 a ' , and 1 b and 1 b' are pressed by a g -value spring 6 against a stop 17 and thus held in the rest position. The links 1 are arranged via pins 7 as pivot points on a leg 11 of the backrest structure. The locking disk 5 connected to the armrest 4 by screws 12 has a toothing area 9 for the frontal crash and a toothing area 10 with oppositely oriented saw teeth for the rear impact. The elongated holes 13 a and 13 b also represent the end position limit for the pivoting range of the armrest 4 .
In normal operation, the armrest 4 can be folded in and out freely. In the folded-up state, the toothing area 9 of the locking disk 5 is opposite the toothing 18 and 19 of the bolt-mass members 1 a ' and 1 b' .
Fig. 2 shows the arm rest in the unfolded state. Now the toothing area 10 is opposite the toothing 18 ' and 19' .
If there is an accident in the direction of travel ϑ when the backrest is folded up, the latch-mass members 1 a ' and 1 b' are deflected due to their inertia, as shown in FIG. 3. The mass force F M , which acts in the center of gravity 8 , overcomes the retaining force of the g -value spring 6 . An intervention in the first toothing option is shown. This will be the normal case, since the armrest is in a slightly clamped position within the backrest, i.e. it is braked somewhat, and the latch-mass links react very sensitively, i.e. quickly. In the event that the armrest was not completely folded, the toothed area 9 is designed large enough so that an intervention is guaranteed even then. Since the right and left of the armrest 4 a locking washer 5 and corresponding latch-mass members 1 a , 1 b are arranged, there is a possibility for tolerance reasons that the teeth 18 and 19 on one side not in the corresponding teeth 9 of the locking washer 5 click into place on the other side. The tooth pitch is only about 5 °. The armrest in itself is so flexible / elastic that it remains sufficiently resilient due to a little deformation with a possible misalignment of one tooth between right and left. The small tooth pitch saves the enormous effort for a complicated synchronization device.
Fig. 3. Fig. 4 shows the engagement position of the bolt-mass members 1 a and 1 b in a rear-end collision against the direction of travel ϑ . The conditions correspond to those in the event of a frontal crash. Fig. 3. Here too there is a sufficient toothing length 10 which guarantees locking even when the armrest 4 has not been fully pivoted out.
For the sake of better understanding, FIG. 5 shows the entire armrest 4 folded into the backrest 3 . It is attached on the right and left to legs 11 which are connected to the rear wall. It can be pivoted out about the pivot point 14 , which is shown in dash-dotted lines.
To the right and left of the armrest 4 , two oppositely toothed locking disks 5 a and 5 b are arranged. Two differently designed bolt-mass members 2 are arranged diametrically opposite one another around the locking disks 5 a, b . Only one link is shown.) These bar-mass links 2 respond equally to both directions of acceleration. A specially arranged g- value spring 6 b , which lies in the alignment of the connection of pivot point 7 and center of gravity 8 , holds the latch-mass members 2 in the rest position. An offset 20 ensures that the teeth 21 a engages in the locking disk 5 a and the teeth 21 b in the locking disk 5 b .
In the event of an impact in the direction of travel, the teeth 21 a of the bolt-mass link 2 shown engage in the toothing of the ratchet wheel 5 a above. On the other hand, the latch-mass member 2, not shown 'engages with its lower teeth 21 b' in the same teeth of the ratchet wheel 5 a a. A diametrically opposed locking is always cheap, because the moments cancel each other out. In a rear impact, the teeth 21 b and 21 a ' engage in the locking disc 5 b .
FIG. 7 shows a similar arrangement with diametrically opposite locking areas . Around a locking disk with toothing areas 26, 27, 28, 29 , four locking mass members 22, 23, 24, 25 are arranged, which are composed of g -value springs 6 in the rest position are kept.
In the event of a frontal crash, the latch mass members 23 and 25 , which lie opposite the toothing areas 27 and 29 of the locking disk 5 c, react. The ranges extend over the angles α 1 and α 2 , which are approximately 45 °.
In the event of a rear-end collision when the armrest 4 is folded out, the toothed areas 26 and 28 with the angles β 1 and β 2 lie opposite the latch-mass members 11 and 24 . The toothed areas α and β are toothed in opposite directions and are large enough to nevertheless ensure secure locking when the armrest 4 is not fully folded in or out.
