Verfahren zum Trocknen oder Schwelen von Brennstoffen durch gleichzeitige Innen- und Außenheizung. Beim Schwelen von Brennstoffen ist es bekannt, das Gut innen und' außen zugleich zu beheizen. Dabei hat die Innenheizung den Zweck, Wärme auf das Gut zu übertragen. Nach der Erfindung dient die Außenheizung lediglich dazu, Strahlungsverluste der Innenheizung zu verhüten. Hierzu wird die Außenheizung auf einer Temperatur gehalten, die gleich oder angenähert gleich ist dem Wärmegrade der Innenheizung, so daß diese allein den das Trocknen oder Schwelen bewirkenden Heizstrom bildet.
