Method for converting a rifle scope into a night firing device.
It is used when hunting for safe daytime shooting with a handgun
the ordinary rifle scope and at night the night shooting device, although it is not too difficult
is putting both on the same rifle. But it is very cumbersome and also
very expensive to carry two complete pieces of equipment. The present invention
unites both devices in one, without major changes or changes in position
important parts are necessary.
Admittedly, such a connection does not arise from the outset

Die drei Linsensysteme a,
b, c müssen in
As is well known, a telescopic sight with Linsenumketirsvsterii has two image planes: the image plane I of the agreement and the objective a and that II of the eyepiece c and the inversion system b. The focal lengths of the three lens systems a, b, c for the telescopic sight must be chosen so that the prescribed magnification results. However, through a suitable choice of the individual focal lengths, it is possible to meet a second condition: the two lens systems a and b can together have an equivalent focal length which corresponds to that of the objective of the night shooting device. If this choice has been made correctly, the lamp of the night firing device can be brought into image plane II of these two systems and a projection of the crosshair in the correct size is obtained on the target. Of course, that is not easy. With b, the glowing crosshair of the lamp first creates an image in the image plane I, and this image naturally falls exactly on the dark agreement lying in this plane and is completely or in the most important part of it, namely the target point, extinguished.
B. in Form
So the agreement should actually be removed first, what

an angle with two horizontal lines, fig. 3 - then you need the agreement

for the crosshair image of the lamp. But this vertical movement has
the riflescope agreement already in the range setting, so that at introduction

It is natural that the eyepiece c is exchanged for the mirror d

Of course, the light from the lamp should pass through the objective a as completely as possible.
The focal length of the mirror d is therefore chosen so that it is with the erecting system

of which is that the diaphragm in the image plane I must normally be larger than the field diaphragm
for the riflescope. So it can dazzle the field of view with the riflescope

that a field stop must be connected to the eyepiece, which at the same time
is replaced with the eyepiece.
